Takatoshi Abe
is a Japanese track and field athlete who competes in the 400 metres hurdles. He is the reigning Asian champion in the event. Born in Okayama Prefecture, Abe initially contested both the 110 metres hurdles and the 400 m hurdles, winning silver and gold medals at the Japanese high school championships in 2009. He chose to specialise in the latter event from mid-2009 onwards. Abe ran a personal best of 49.46 seconds to claim the silver medal at the 2010 World Junior Championships in Athletics, finishing closely behind the strong favourite Jehue Gordon. He also ran with the Japanese 4×400 metres relay team, helping them to fifth place. His hurdles time made him the third best Asian in the event that year, after compatriots Kenji Narisako and Takayuki Koike. Ikoma Takatoshi
was a Japanese ''daimyō'' of the early Edo period, who ruled the Takamatsu Domain. He was the son-in-law of Doi Toshikatsu. Takatoshi lost rulership of the Takamatsu domain due to an uprising within the fief. is a Japanese economist. He is a professor of the School of International and Public Affairs, Columbia University and a senior professor of the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies. Career He graduated from the Faculty of Economics, Hitotsubashi University in 1973 and from the Graduate School of Economics in the same institute in 1975. He earned a Ph.D from Harvard University in 1979. He served as Deputy Vice Minister of Finance for International Affairs from 1999 to 2001. is a former Japanese football player. Playing career Matsumoto was born in Minato, Tokyo on September 5, 1983. He joined J1 League club Kyoto Purple Sanga from youth team in 2002. He debuted in October and played several matches as center back in 2002 season. However he could only play 1 match in 2003 and Sanga was relegated to J2 League end of 2003 season. He moved to J1 club FC Tokyo (2004) and Vissel Kobe (2005). However he could not play at all in the match in both clubs. In 2006, he moved to J2 club Shonan Bellmare. Mitsui Takatoshi
was the founder of the Mitsui family of merchants and industrialists that later emerged as the Mitsui Group, a powerful Japanese zaibatsu (business conglomerate). Life Mitsui was born in 1622, in Matsusaka, Ise Province (present-day Matsusaka, Mie Prefecture), the son of merchants Mitsui Takatoshi (三井 高俊) and Shuhō (殊法). He was the youngest of eight siblings; four brothers and four sisters. His grandfather was a samurai and Governor of Echigo Province Mitsui Takayasu, who was later exiled to Matsusaka after being defeated by Oda Nobunaga. Mitsui's father Takatoshi abandoned his katana, thus renouncing his status as a samurai, and established himself as a sake and miso merchant and a pawnbroker.
