Tajmuraz Salkazanov
Tajmuraz Salkazanov (russian: Таймураз Салказанов, os, Салхъазанты Мæирбеджы фырт Таймураз; born 6 April 1996) is a Slovak naturalized freestyle wrestler of Russian origins and Ossetian ethnicity who competes at 74 kilograms. Representing Slovakia since 2018, Salkazanov became the 2021 European Champion when he defeated two–time World Champion Frank Chamizo and 2020 Individual World Cup champion Razambek Zhamalov back to back. Prior, he claimed bronze medals from the 2019 World Championships at 79 kg and from the 2020 Individual World Cup at 74 kg and was also the 2018 U23 World Champion at 70 kg. In April of 2022, Salkazanov became a two-time European champion, defeating Chamizo in the final by the score 7-5. 2021 World Wrestling Championships
The 2021 World Wrestling Championships was the 17th edition of the World Wrestling Championships of combined events and was held from 2 to 10 October 2021 in Oslo, Norway. The event was subsequent to the 2019 World Championships due to the cancelation of the 2020 edition during the COVID-19 pandemic. Wrestling World Cup
Wrestling World Cup is an international wrestling competition among teams representing member nations of the United World Wrestling (UWW) the sport's global governing body. The cups have been conducted by FILA (the UWW predecessor) every year since the 1973 tournament. The World Cup began as a dual-meet competition for the top teams on each continent, but now features the top teams in the rankings of the previous year's world championships. Two individual competitions under the same name were held in 1956 and 1958 before establishing the current World Cup comeptition in 1973. beside that UWW had another competition called Individual World Cup as a replacement event for the 2020 World Championships. Nikola Petrov ( bg, Никола Петров), better known as Nikola Petroff, (19 December 1873 – 2 January 1925) was a Bulgarian wrestler. He was born in the town of Gorna Oryahovitsa, Bulgaria. On 20 July 1898, in New York City, he earned the title "Champion of America". In the next year in Vienna, he became the European Champion in Greco-Roman wrestling. Doncho Kolev Danev ( bg, Дончо Колев Данев) (26 December 1892 – 27 March 1940), better known by the ring name Dan Kolov ( bg, Дан Колов), was a Bulgarian professional wrestler and mixed martial artist born in Sennik, Bulgaria who was the first European freestyle wrestling champion from Bulgaria. He also won the European gold in 1936 in the championship in Paris, which was the second distinction for Bulgaria after the world title of Nikola Petrov ( Greco-Roman wrestling) from 1900. The 47th Yasar Dogu Tournament 2019, was a wrestling event held in Istanbul, Turkey between 11 and 14 July 2019. This international tournament included competitions in men's and women's freestyle wrestling. It was held as the sixth of the ranking series of United World Wrestling in 2019.
