Taipei City Mall () is a shopping center located at the intersection of the Datong and Zhongzheng districts in Taipei, Taiwan. It is the first underground market in Taipei City. It is located under Civic Boulevard (市民大道 ''Shìmín Dàdào''), Section 1. Structure It is about 825 meters long, and has 28 exits/entrances, 14 each on the north and south sides. It is connected with Taipei Main Station for Taipei Metro, Taiwan Railway Administration, Taiwan High Speed Rail, and the Taoyuan Airport MRT, and the Shin Kong Life Tower. At the west end of the market is Beimen Station. There are a total of 187 shops in the market. The first floor underground consists of shops, while the second floor underground is a parking lot. Shin Kong Life Tower
Shin Kong Life Tower (), at 51 stories and a height of , is one of Taiwan's earliest skyscrapers. The rose-colored tower topped by a pyramid stands in Zhongzheng District, Taipei City, Taipei, and dates from 1993. Its first twelve floors and two underground floors house a Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Department Store; the remaining floors provide office space and serve as headquarters for the Shin Kong Group, Shin Kong Life insurance company. The building stands across Zhongxiao Road from Taipei Main Station near the Asiaworld Department Store. The Shin Kong Life Tower was Taiwan's tallest building when it opened in 1993. The twin towers of the nearby Far Eastern Plaza, built at the same time, approached it in height. In 1997 the Tuntex Sky Tower, Tuntex 85 Sky Tower in the city of Kaohsiung became Taiwan's tallest. East Metro Mall () is a shopping center located in Da'an District, Taipei, Taiwan. It is the first underground mall in the Eastern District of Taipei, connecting Zhongxiao Dunhua metro station and Zhongxiao Fuxing metro station. Taipei City Government
The Taipei City Government (TCG) is the municipal government of Taipei. History The Taihoku City Government was founded on 10 October 1920 in Taihoku Prefecture during Japanese colonial rule. The original city hall was located at the site of the Taihoku City Hall (modern-day Zhongshan Hall) in Zhongzheng District. After Taiwan was handed over to the Republic of China on 25 October 1945, Taipei became a provincial municipality and was renamed to Taipei City Government even though the city was the capital city of Taiwan Province but it moved to Zhongxing New Village from 1956. After the Chinese Communist Revolution which was the Chinese Communist Party taking power in mainland China, the Chinese government was forced to retreat to Taiwan and Taipei became the nation's seat of government in 1949. Beimen Station (Taipei Metro)
The Taipei Metro Beimen station is a station on the Songshan line located in Datong District, Taipei City, Taiwan. Station overview This four-level, underground station has two side platforms. It is located beneath Tacheng St. beneath Civic Blvd. and Zhongxiao West Rd. It was scheduled to open in December 2013 with the launch of the Songshan Line. Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport MRT (Mass Rapid Transit), commonly known as the Airport MRT, is a rapid transit line of Taoyuan Metro that connects the municipalities of Taipei, New Taipei, and Taoyuan with Taoyuan International Airport.
