Taipei Songshan Airport is a regional airport and military airbase located in Songshan District, Taipei, Taiwan. The airport covers an area of . The civilian section of Songshan Airport has scheduled flights to domestic destinations in Taiwan and international destinations including Seoul, Tokyo, and select cities in mainland China. Songshan serves only a small portion of the international flights for Taipei compared to the larger Taoyuan International Airport. Songshan Airport is also the base of certain Republic of China Air Force units as part of the Songshan Air Force Base. Penghu Airport
Penghu Airport , formerly Magong Airport (), is a domestic airport in Huxi, Penghu County, Taiwan. With 2,380,265 passengers in 2017, it is the fifth-busiest airport in Taiwan, The ROC Air Force also has Magong Air Base here. History Penghu Airport opened in 1957 with a focus on military personnel and cargo transportation. The construction of the new terminal began in 1966 and was subordinate to Kaohsiung Airport. Songshan District, Taipei
Songshan District is a district of Taipei, Taiwan. The Songshan Airport and the Taipei Arena are located here. History Songshan was originally named Malysyakkaw, a lowland Ketagalan word meaning "Where the river twists". Its written form () was abbreviated () in 1815 during Qing rule. During Japanese rule (1895-1945), the area served as a prime tea-growing area in northern Taiwan. In 1920, the area's settlements were established as , Shichisei District, Taihoku Prefecture. Hualien Airport (; ami, Pahikukiyan nu Kalinku; Seediq: ) is a commercial airport located in an civilian area of Chiashan Air Force Base in Xincheng, Hualien County, Taiwan. With flights to Taipei, Kaohsiung and Taichung, it served 235,386 passengers in 2017, making it the tenth-busiest airport in Taiwan. History The airport was opened on 16 May 1962, for military and domestic civilian use. Before this, Hualien was a military gravel airfield. Fuzhou Changle International Airport is an international airport serving Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian province, China. The airport was inaugurated on 23 June 1997, after being approved to start constructing in 1992. The current handling capacity is approximately 6.5 million people annually. Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport is one of the two international airports of Shanghai and a significant airline hub of China. Hongqiao Airport mainly serves domestic and regional flights, although the airport also serves international flights.
