Tailchaser's Song
''Tailchaser's Song'' is a fantasy novel by American writer Tad Williams. First released on November 21, 1985, it is Williams' first published work. The story focuses on a personified cat named Fritti Tailchaser, set in a world of other anthropomorphic animals who live in their natural environments but each have their own language, mythology, and culture. It is reportedly being adapted into an animated feature film. Plot summary The novel is set in the world as cats see it, with humans being mysterious and distrusted creatures in the eyes of feral cats. The cats see themselves as the first and most important species; the novel takes the approach that all creatures consider their kind to be the dominant species of the planet. Their myths view humans, or "M'an", as a race of deformed descendants of cats. Tad Williams
Robert Paul "Tad" Williams (born March 14, 1957) is an American fantasy and science fiction writer. He is the author of the multivolume ''Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn'' series, ''Otherland'' series, and ''Shadowmarch'' series as well as the standalone novels '' Tailchaser's Song'' and The War of the Flowers. Most recently, Williams published ''The Bobby Dollar'' series. Cumulatively, over 17 million copies of Williams's works have been sold. Williams's work in comics includes a six issue mini-series for DC Comics called ''The Next''. He also wrote '' Aquaman: Sword of Atlantis'' issue #50 to #57. Other comic work includes ''Mirrorworld: Rain'' and '' The Helmet of Fate: Ibis the Invincible #1'' (DC). Christopher Smart
Christopher Smart (11 April 1722 – 20 May 1771) was an English poet. He was a major contributor to two popular magazines, ''The Midwife'' and ''The Student'', and a friend to influential cultural icons like Samuel Johnson and Henry Fielding. Smart, a high church Anglican, was widely known throughout London. Smart was infamous as the pseudonymous midwife "Mrs. Mary Midnight" and for widespread accounts of his father-in-law, John Newbery, locking him away in a mental asylum for many years over Smart's supposed religious "mania". Even after Smart's eventual release, a negative reputation continued to pursue him as he was known for incurring more debt than he could repay; this ultimately led to his confinement in debtors' prison until his death. ''Warriors'' (also known as ''Warrior Cats'') is a series of novels based on the adventures and drama of multiple Clans of feral cats. The series is primarily set in fictional forests. Published by HarperCollins, the series is written by authors Kate Cary and Cherith Baldry, as well as others, under the collective pseudonym Erin Hunter. Peter A. Ramsey (born December 23, 1962) is an American illustrator, storyboard artist, film director, screenwriter, and film producer. He is best known for directing DreamWorks Animation's ''Rise of the Guardians'' (2012), becoming the first African American to direct a major American animated film, and co-directing Sony Pictures Animation's ''Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse'' (2018). For ''Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse'', he became the first African American to be nominated for and win an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. is a three volume manga series written and illustrated by Motofumi Kobayashi. It was published in North America and the United Kingdom (printed in Canada) in 2004 by ADV Manga.
