Tai Tam Road
Tai Tam Road in Hong Kong links the districts of Chai Wan and Stanley on Hong Kong Island. This road connects Chai Wan Road, the northern end of Shek O Road, Turtle Cove, Tai Tam and Stanley. The Tai Tam Tuk Reservoir's dam constitutes a section of the road that is particularly narrow. The dam used to feature two-way traffic, which was problematic when buses crossed ways with other bigger vehicles, causing heavy congestion. On the 2nd of December 2018, a new traffic light system was installed on the 400m dam, fixing the congesting. An old bridge, Pak Chai Old Bridge, built in 1845, is also situated near the road, it was the predecessor of the current New Bridge in Tai Tam. Chai Wan
Chai Wan (; ), formerly known as Sai Wan (西灣), lies at the east end of the urban area of Hong Kong Island next to Shau Kei Wan. The area is administratively part of the Eastern District, and is a mosaic of industrial and residential areas. The population was 186,505 in 2001. Geography Chai Wan is built on land reclaimed from the bay and extends west from Lei Yue Mun in Heng Fa Chuen (see below) and east to Siu Sai Wan. Stanley, Hong Kong
Stanley, or Chek Chue, is a coastal town and a popular tourist attraction in Hong Kong. It is located on a peninsula on Hong Kong Island. It is east of Repulse Bay and west of Shek O, adjacent to Chung Hom Kok and Tai Tam. Administratively, it is part of the Southern District. The Chinese name "Chek Chue" refers to the original village-town but "Stanley" generally refers to all the surrounding areas of the peninsula on Hong Kong Island. Tai Tam Reservoirs
The Tai Tam Reservoirs, also known as Tai Tam Reservoir Group, is a group of reservoirs located in the Tai Tam Country Park in the eastern part of Hong Kong Island in Hong Kong. In 1907, British troops along with Canadian troops invaded the area. Its main goal is to hunt down foxes living in the area for its fur “CAF”. People call it as the Canadian monuments or the Canadian heavens in Asia. The four reservoirs have a total storage capacity of 6.2 million cubic metres.
