Tahjibul Islam
Gazi Mohammad Tahjibul Islam (born 23 July 2004) is a Bangladeshi cricketer, who is a right-handed batter and a wicket-keeper. He started playing cricket at the age of 6, and later received training from the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan. In December 2021, Tahjibul was named in Bangladesh's squad for 2021 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup and 2022 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He made his Twenty20 debut for Shinepukur Cricket Club on 16 June 2021, against Gazi Group Cricketers in the 2021 Dhaka Premier Division Twenty20 Cricket League. He made his List A debut on 30 March 2022, against Abahani Limited in the 2021–22 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League. In February 2024, he was signed by Durdanto Dhaka to play for them in the 2024 Bangladesh Premier League. A wicket-keeper-batter is a type of player in cricket who fields primarily as a wicket-keeper and is particularly adept as a batsman. Abahani Limited cricket team has played List A cricket in the Dhaka Premier League since 2013–14. It has won the title in 2015–16, 2017–18 and 2018–19. In Twenty20 cricket, it also won the 2021 Dhaka Premier Division Twenty20 Cricket League. In cricket, a bye is a type of extra. It is a run scored by the batting team when the ball has not been hit by the batter and the ball has not hit the batter's body. Scoring byes Usually, if the ball passes the batter without being deflected, the wicket-keeper will catch it. This normally prevents the scoring of runs because the batters will be unable to complete a run before being stumped or run out by the wicket-keeper. 2023–24 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League
The 2023–24 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League (DPDCL) is the tenth edition of the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League, a List A cricket competition in Bangladesh. It is being contested by 12 club teams. The tournament started on 11 March 2024. Player signings took place on 28 and 29 February 2024. CCDM has increased the individual prize money in this edition, with the Player of the Tournament, Highest Run-Scorer and Highest Wicket-Taker receiving ৳2.5 lakh each from ৳2 lakh last season. 2021–22 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League
The 2021–22 Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League was an edition of the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League, a List A cricket competition that was held in Bangladesh. It was the eighth edition of the tournament with List A status, although almost 35 seasons have been played before achieving the status. The tournament took place from 15 March to 28 April 2022. The previous edition of the tournament, in March 2020, ended after just one round of matches, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
