Taha Serhani
Taha Serhani (born 27 May 1995) is a Swiss artistic gymnast. Personal life He was born to a Moroccan father and a Swiss mother. His brother, Samir is also a gymnast who has competed internationally for Switzerland. Career At the 2012 European Junior Championships, he was a part of the Swiss team that won bronze. He made his senior international debut at the 2015 Cottbus World Cup in Germany. He competed at the 2015 European Games in Baku and helped the Swiss team finish 12th. He qualified for the individual all-around final and placed 9th with a score of 84.098. He competed at his first senior European Championships at the 2017 edition in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. He finished 8th in qualification on the horizontal bar but was unable to progress to the final due to placing behind his teammates Oliver Hegi and Pablo Brägger. Artistic gymnastics is a discipline of gymnastics in which athletes perform short routines on different apparatuses. 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships were held in Antwerp, Belgium at the Sportpaleis, from 30 September to 8 October 2023. Antwerp hosted the event for the third time; previously the city hosted the first ever World Championships in 1903 and again in 2013. The championships was a qualification event for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. The top nine teams in both the men's and women's team qualifications (not including teams that qualified at the previous year's World Championships) obtained five quota places for Paris as a team. 2022 European Championships
The 2022 European Championships were the second edition of the European Championships. It was a multi-sport event which took place in Munich, Germany from 11 to 21 August 2022. The tournament began three days after the conclusion of the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Athletics, Cycling, Triathlon, Women's Artistic Gymnastics, Men's Artistic Gymnastics and Rowing returned after appearing in the inaugural Championships in 2018. New to this edition of the Championships were Beach Volleyball, Canoe Sprint, and, for the first time, a full slate of para-sport events, Sport Climbing and Table Tennis. 2021 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The 2021 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships were held in Kitakyushu, Japan from October 18–24, 2021. The competition took place at the Kitakyushu City General Gymnasium. It was the third time that Japan hosted the event, following the 1995 and 2011 editions. The competition was originally scheduled to be held in Copenhagen, Denmark, before the Danish Gymnastics Federation withdrew from hosting in July 2020. In November 2020, the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique announced Kitakyushu as the replacement host city for the same dates. Although the World Championships are traditionally not held in Olympic years, the postponement of the 2020 Summer Olympics caused the 2021 event to fall during the same year. 2012 European Men's Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The 30th European Men's Artistic Gymnastics Championships was held from 23 to 27 May 2012 at Montpellier. The senior and junior events are different. During the senior's qualification the top eight teams progress to the team final, and the top eight gymnasts (two per nation maximum) on each apparatus qualify for the individual finals. After the qualification for the juniors the team medals and places are awarded. 2018 European Championships
The 2018 European Championships were the first edition of the European Championships. It was a multi-sport event which took place in Berlin, Germany, and Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom (with Edinburgh hosting the diving events and Gleneagles the golf) from 2 to 12 August 2018.
