Taguig–Pateros's 2nd Congressional District
Taguig–Pateros's 2nd congressional district (also known simply as Taguig's 2nd congressional district and Taguig's lone congressional district) is one of the two congressional districts of the Philippines in the combined independent local government units of Pateros and Taguig. The district is located entirely within the city of Taguig. It has been represented in the House of Representatives of the Philippines since 2007. The district was created in 2004 following a plebiscite to ratify Republic Act No. 8487 or the 1998 Taguig City Charter. It consists of the western Taguig barangays of Central Bicutan, Central Signal Village, Fort Bonifacio, Katuparan, Maharlika Village, North Daang Hari, North Signal Village, Pinagsama, South Daang Hari, South Signal Village, Tanyag, Upper Bicutan and Western Bicutan. Pilar Juliana Schramm Cayetano KGCR (born March 22, 1966), known as Pia Cayetano, is a Filipina politician and lawyer serving as a Senator since 2019, a position she previously held from 2004 to 2016. She was also the Representative of Taguig's 2nd district from 2016 to 2019 and was one of the Deputy Speakers. Cayetano was born to a political family currently based in Taguig. Lino Edgardo Schramm Cayetano (born January 4, 1978) is a Filipino politician and television director who served as the Mayor of Taguig from 2019 to 2022. He previously served as the representative of the 2nd district of Taguig from 2013 to 2016, and was the Barangay Chairman of Fort Bonifacio from 2010 to 2013. The 2010 Philippine House of Representatives elections were held on May 10, 2010, to elect members to the House of Representatives of the Philippines to serve in the 15th Congress of the Philippines from June 30, 2010, to June 30, 2013. Lakas–Christian Muslim Democrats, abbreviated as Lakas–CMD and also known simply as Lakas, is a political party in the Philippines.
