Tagore University Of Creative Arts
Tagore University of Creative Arts (TUCA; bn, রবীন্দ্র সৃজনকলা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়) is a private university located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The vice-chancellor of the university is Syed Mohammad Shahed. History Tagore University of Creative Arts was established in 2016 by the National Professor Dr. Anisuzzaman who served as the founding president of the board of trustees. Former chairman of UGC Professor Nazrul Islam and icon of Tagore songs Rezwana Choudhury Bannya joined his efforts later. Tagore University of Creative Arts was approved on 7 June 2016 by the Ministry of Education of the Government of Bangladesh. At present it is being regulated by a Trustee Board consisting of 14 members. Rabin Khan is its secretary and coordinating trustee. National Professor ( bn, জাতীয় অধ্যাপক) is a prestigious teaching award given by the Government of Bangladesh for outstanding contribution on the field of education. It is awarded by the president of Bangladesh according to ''Bangladesh National Professor Resolution (appointment, conditions and facilities) 1981''. University Grants Commission ( bn, বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় মঞ্জুরী কমিশন ''Biśbobidyālaẏ mañjurī komiśan'') of Bangladesh was established on 16 December 1972. It was created according to the Presidential Order (P.O. No 10 of 1973) of the Government of People's Republic of Bangladesh. In 2010, the Government of Bangladesh (GOB) announced bringing out reforms in University Grants Commission (UGC) and decided to change UGC into Higher Education Commission of Bangladesh (HEC). Bangla Academy
The Bangla Academy ( bn, বাংলা একাডেমি, ) is an autonomous institution funded by the Bangladesh government to foster the Bengali language, literature and culture, to develop and implement national language policy and to do original research in the Bengali language. Established in 1955, it is located in Burdwan House in Ramna, Dhaka, within the grounds of the University of Dhaka and Suhrawardy Udyan. The Bangla Academy hosts the annual Ekushey Book Fair. Rezwana Choudhury Bannya
Rezwana Choudhury Bannya is a Bangladeshi singer and academic. She is an exponent of Rabindra Sangeet, the songs written and composed by Rabindranath Tagore. She is regarded as a legendary Tagore singer by Tagore music aficionados. She has won numerous awards including Bangladesh's highest civilian award the Independence Day Award (2016). Early life Rezwana was born in Rangpur, Bangladesh to her parents Mazharuddin Khan and Ismat Ara Khan. Her early singing lessons began with her uncle Abdul Ali that continued later under the tutelage of Sanjida Khatun and Atiqul Islam at Chhayanaut and Bulbul Academy of Fine Arts (BAFA) in Dhaka. Anisuzzaman
Anisuzzaman (18 February 1937 – 14 May 2020) was a Bangladeshi academic of Bengali literature. He was an activist who took part in the Language Movement (1952), participated in Mass Uprising (1969), and took part in the Bangladesh Liberation War (1971). He was a member of the Planning Commission to the Government of Bangladesh during the Bangladesh liberation war and a member of the National Education Commission set up by the government after liberation. He was inducted as a National Professor by the Government of Bangladesh in 2018. Early life and education Anisuzzaman was born in Calcutta in 1937. Along with his family, he moved to Khulna after the 1947 partition. After about a year they moved to Dhaka.
