Paul Tagliabue
Paul John Tagliabue (; born November 24, 1940) is an American lawyer who was the History of the NFL Commissioner, commissioner of the National Football League (NFL). He took the position in 1989 NFL season, 1989 and served until September 1, 2006. He had previously served as a lawyer for the NFL. Tagliabue also served as Chairman of President and Directors of Georgetown College, Board of Directors of Georgetown University from 2009 to 2015. Background Tagliabue was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, the third of four sons of Charles and May Tagliabue. He is of Italian descent. Tagliabue received an athletic scholarship to play basketball at Georgetown University and was captain of the 1961–62 Georgetown Hoyas men's basketball team, 1961–62 team. Benedetta Tagliabue (born 24 June 1963) is an Italian architect. She lives and works in Barcelona, Spain. Education Tagliabue was born in Milan, Italy. In 1989, she graduated in Venice from the "Università Iuav di Venezia" in Italy. Presently, Benedetta Tagliabue teaches at the University of Architecture ETSAB (Escola Tècnica Superior d'Arquitectura de Barcelona) in Barcelona and lectures regularly in architectural forums. In 2004, Tagliabue received an Honorary Doctor of Arts degree from Napier University and she is a member of The Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland. Carlo Pietro Tagliabue (January 13, 1898 in Mariano Comense – April 5, 1978 in Monza) was an Italian baritone. After studies with Leopoldo Gennai and Annibale Guidotti he made his debut in Lodi, Lombardy, in ''Loreley'' and ''Aida''. His debuts in Genoa (1923), Torino, La Scala (1930), Rome (1931), and Naples (1931) were all in ''Tristan und Isolde'' (sung in Italian). He also performed in Wagner's ''Götterdämmerung'', ''Tannhäuser'' and ''Lohengrin''. However, Tagliabue would go on to excel in the Verdian repertoire, especially '' La forza del destino'', ''Aida'', ''Rigoletto'', '' La traviata'', ''Nabucco'', and '' Otello''. He created the role of Basilio in Respighi's ''La fiamma'' in 1934. Paola Tagliabue (born 7 November 1976, in Como, Lombardy) is an Italian world champion free-diver. Tagliabue belongs to Tresse Diving Club of Saronno and she is also a member of the Italian national team. In 2005 at "Blue 2005", the most important worldwide free-diving convention, she published a work about lactic acid in free-divers. In 2006, Tagliabue became the world champion in dynamic apnea Dynamic apnea is a discipline of competitive freediving, also known as competitive apnea.
