Danish Language
Danish (; , ) is a North Germanic language spoken by about six million people, principally in and around Denmark. Communities of Danish speakers are also found in Greenland, the Faroe Islands, and the northern German region of Southern Schleswig, where it has minority language status. Minor Danish-speaking communities are also found in Norway, Sweden, the United States, Canada, Brazil, and Argentina. Tage Lindbom
Tage Leonard Lindbom (1909–2001) was a mystic and conservative philosopher, who early in his life was the party theoretician and director of the archives of the Swedish Social Democratic Party 1938–1965. He served on public boards and commissions dealing with cultural questions, including the executive board of the Royal Opera. He later converted to Islam. He became a representative of the Traditional School and the Perennial philosophy. Lindbom has been called "the grand old man" of Swedish conservativism and is the author of more than 20 books on philosophy and religion. He was a contributor to the quarterly journal, ''Studies in Comparative Religion'', which dealt with religious symbolism and the Traditionalist perspective. Tage William-Olsson (8 June 1888 – 22 August 1960) was a Swedish architect and chief town planning architect of Gothenburg. He was one of the designers of the Slussen traffic-roundabout infrastructure-project built during 1935 in Stockholm. Biography Carl Martin Tage William-Olsson was born in London, England. His parents were Swedish businessman William Olof Olsson (1862-1923) and his wife Maria Bergman (1862-1954). His brother William Frits William-Olsson (1902-1990) was a professor of Economic Geography at the Stockholm School of Economics. Tage Skou-Hansen (12 February 1925 – 11 November 2015) was a Danish writer, editor and scholar. Overview Born in the town of Fredericia, Tage Skou-Hansen graduated from Marselisborg Gymnasium in Aarhus and became a student of history of literature at Aarhus University. As a student, he worked as an editor of two literary magazines, one of which was '' Heretica'', before the publication of his first novel, ''De Nøgne Træer'' (The Bare Trees), in 1957. After receiving his degree, Tage taught literature at Askov Højskole for nine years, before concentrating on writing from 1967. Apart from his novels, Tage Skou-Hansen's works also includes two plays and a realized film manuscript. He has received many prizes and scholarships throughout his career. Kjeld Thor Tage Otto, Friherre Reedtz-Thott (13 March 1839 – 27 November 1923), was a Danish politician, landowner and member of the Højre political party. He was Council President of Denmark from 1894 to 1897 as the leader of the Reedtz-Thott Cabinet. Biography Tage Reedtz-Thott was born at Gavnø Castle on the island of Gavnø near Naestved, Denmark. He was the son of the baron Otto Reedtz-Thott (1785-1862) and Karen Julie Elisabeth Frederikke Fønns (1814-1844). He graduated cand. phil. in 1860. He continued his studies in Geneva and Paris.
