Taff Acre
''Taff Acre'' is a television soap opera produced by Harlech Television (HTV) Wales for the ITV network. Taff Acre was a fictional village in South Wales, set just outside Cardiff. The series dealt with the lives of the Johnson family. Transmitted twice a week between September and December 1981, the series was not renewed beyond its initial run of 26 episodes. A soap opera, or ''soap'' for short, is a typically long-running radio or television serial, frequently characterized by melodrama, ensemble casts, and sentimentality. Robert Blythe (actor)
Robert Blythe (1947 – 20 November 2018), also known as Bob Blythe, was a Welsh actor and voice over artist. He was brought up in Tan-y-groes St in Port Talbot. He was best known for playing Richard 'Fagin' Hepplewhite in the Welsh situation comedy '' High Hopes''. Career Prior to training as an actor at the Arts Educational Trust in London, he was a surveyor. His theatre work included repertory seasons at the Haymarket Theatre, Leicester, the Sherman Theatre, Cardiff, the Liverpool Playhouse, the Connaught Theatre, Worthing, and the Grand Theatre, Swansea. He also toured the Far East, Middle East, India and Europe with various productions. Myfanwy Talog Williams ( 31 March 1944 – 11 March 1995), known professionally as Myfanwy Talog, was a Welsh actress and the long-term partner of English actor David Jason. Personal life Talog was born on 31 March 1944 in Caerwys, Flintshire and a plaque is currently on the house where she was born. She worked as a teacher before pursuing an acting career and appeared mainly on Welsh-language television, comedy and children's programmes.
