Taebla Parish
Taebla Parish ( et, Taebla vald) was a rural Municipalities of Estonia, municipality in Lääne County, Estonia, that existed from 1992 to 2013. After the 2013 Estonian municipal elections, municipal elections held on 20 October 2013, Taebla Parish was merged with neighbouring Oru Parish, Oru and Risti Parish, Risti parishes and a new Lääne-Nigula Parish was established. In 2008 it had a population of 2,911 and an area of 141 km². Populated places Taebla Parish had 2 small boroughs (Palivere and Taebla) and 15 villages: Allikmaa, Kadarpiku, Kedre, Kirimäe, Koela, Leediküla, Luigu, Nigula, Lääne County, Nigula, Nihka, Pälli, Tagavere, Lääne County, Tagavere, Turvalepa, Väänla, Vidruka and Võntküla. A municipality ( et, omavalitsus, plural ) is the smallest administrative subdivision of Estonia. Each municipality is a unit of self-government with its representative and executive bodies. The municipalities in Estonia cover the entire territory of the country. Municipalities in Estonia are of two types: *Urban municipalities or towns (, singular ) *Rural municipalities or Parish (administrative division), parishes (, singular ). There is no other status distinction between them. Municipalities may contain one or several Populated places in Estonia, settlements.
