Boris Tadić
Boris Tadić ( sr-cyr, Борис Тадић, ; born 15 January 1958) is a Serbian politician who served as the president of Serbia from 2004 to 2012. Born in Sarajevo, he graduated from the University of Belgrade with a degree in psychology. He later worked as a journalist, military psychologist, and as a teacher at the First Belgrade Gymnasium. Tadić joined the Democratic Party (DS) in 1990 and was elected to the National Assembly after the 1993 election. After the downfall of Slobodan Milošević in 2000, he was appointed as the minister of telecommunications in the government of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, a role which he held until 2003, after which he was appointed minister of defence in the government of Serbia. Dušan Tadić ( sr-Cyrl, Душан Тадић, ; born 20 November 1988) is a Serbian professional footballer who plays as a centre-forward, winger or attacking midfielder and captains both Eredivisie club Ajax and the Serbia national team. Tadić spent his youth at hometown club AIK Bačka Topola and Vojvodina, eventually playing in the UEFA Europa League with the latter. After two seasons with Groningen he joined Twente in 2012, where he earned a move to Southampton of the Premier League. After four years in England, he returned to the Netherlands in 2018, when he joined Ajax. Club career Osijek and Bayer Leverkusen Tadić started his professional career with NK Osijek in the 2004–05 Croatian First League season. Duško Tadić (born 1 October 1955, SR Bosnia and Herzegovina, SFR Yugoslavia) is a Bosnian Serb politician, former SDS leader in Kozarac and a former member of the paramilitary forces supporting the attack on the district of Prijedor. He was convicted of crimes against humanity, grave breaches of the Geneva Conventions, and violations of the customs of war by the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) for his actions in the Prijedor region, including the Omarska, Trnopolje and Keraterm detention camps. He was sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment. Trial Tadić was arrested by German police in Munich in February 1994. He faced twelve counts of crimes against humanity, twelve counts of grave breaches of the Geneva Conventions, and ten counts of violations of the customs of war, to all of which he pleaded not guilty. Ognjen Tadić ( sr-cyrl, Огњен Тадић; born 20 April 1974) is a Bosnian Serb politician, lawyer, journalist and sociologist who was a member of the national House of Peoples from 2011 to 2019. Previously, he was member of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska from 2006 to 2010. Tadić studied at the University of Banja Luka, where he earned degrees in the Faculty of Law and in the Faculty of Political Science. He is a lawyer, journalist and sociologist. Ljubomir "Ljuba" Tadić ( sr-cyr, Љубомир "Љуба" Тадић; 14 May 1925 – 31 December 2013) was a Serbian academic and politician. He was born in Smriječno village near Plužine, then in the Kingdom Serbs, Croats and Slovenes. He was a Belgrade Law School graduate and a professor of philosophy at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Philosophy as well as a member of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. His father Pavle Tadić was a lieutenant of the Montenegrin Army in the wars against the Ottoman Empire. Pavle opened the first school in Piva, during the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. Ljubomir "Ljuba" Tadić ( sr-cyr, Љубомир Љуба Тадић; 31 May 1929 – 28 October 2005) was a Yugoslav actor who enjoyed a reputation as one of the greatest names in the history of former Yugoslav cinema. Biography He made his screen debut in 1953, but his first truly memorable role was in the 1957 film ''It Was Not in Vain, Nije bilo uzalud''. In this film, like in many others, he played the villain, but he turned out to be the most memorable character. Later he built on this reputation and continued to play important historical and larger-than-life characters. Piva (Serbian Cyrillic: Пива, ) is a historical region in Montenegro, which existed as a tribe also known as Pivljani (Пивљани, ). It is situated in the northwestern highlands of Montenegro, bordering Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Piva River flows through the region. The regional center is the town of Plužine. History Ottoman period Piva was a ''nahiya'' of the Ottoman Empire, mentioned in the 1476–78 ''defter''. The House of Peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina ( sh-Latn-Cyrl, separator=/, Dom naroda Bosne i Hercegovine, Дом народа Босне и Херцеговине) is one of the two chambers of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the other chamber being the House of Representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was established through the signing of the Dayton Agreement in 1995. It has 15 members equally distributed among the three ethnic groups in Bosnia and Herzegovina: 5 Bosniaks, 5 Serbs, and 5 Croats. The members are appointed by the parliaments of the constituent peoples. Their duty is to make sure that no law is passed unless all three groups agree on it.
