Aurélien Taché
Aurélien Taché (; born 26 May 1984) is a French politician who was elected to the French National Assembly on 18 June 2017, representing the department of Val-d'Oise. He was elected in 2017 as a member of La République En Marche! (LREM) but left the party in 2020, and joined the short-lived Ecology Democracy Solidarity group, then The New Democrats. In 2022, we was re-elected as a New Democrat, as part of the NUPES group. Political career In parliament, Taché serves on the Committee on Social Affairs, where was his parliamentary group's coordinator from 2017 until 2018, and the Finance Committee. Pascal Taché
Pascal Taché, (; b. August 30, 1757 – d. June 5, 1830), was the son of Jean Taché, a successful merchant and trader and the patriarch of the important Taché Canadian family. He was born at the town of Quebec in 1757. In 1785, Pascal married the co-seigneur at Kamouraska. Five years later he received his mother-in-law's share of the seigneury. Pascal managed this seigneury through a period of good expansion as well as exercising his commission as a justice of the peace. Joseph-Charles Taché
Joseph-Charles Taché, (; December 24, 1820 – April 16, 1894) was a member of the Taché family, a nephew of Sir Étienne-Paschal Taché. He was a student at the Petit Séminaire de Québec and followed this by a study of medicine, receiving his medical diploma in 1844. Taché practised medicine in Rimouski, and, at the age of 27, he was unopposed for a seat in the Legislative Assembly. His activity in politics led him into the newspaper business as a writer renowned for his caustic political wit. He worked as a writer and editor until 1859 when he left ''Le Courrier du Canada'' to pursue other writing full-time. Jean-Baptiste Taché
Jean-Baptiste Taché (; June 11, 1786 – August 22, 1849) was a notary and political figure in Lower Canada. He represented Cornwallis from 1820 to 1824 and Rimouski from 1834 until the suspension of the constitution in 1838 in the Legislative Assembly of Lower Canada. Taché served as a member of the special council that governed Lower Canada from 1839 to 1841 and was a member of the Legislative Council of the Province of Canada from 1841 to 1849. He was born in Saint-Thomas, the son of Charles Taché and Geneviève Michon, and was educated at the Petit Séminaire de Québec. Taché apprenticed as a notary, was licensed in 1811 and set up practice in Kamouraska. In 1824, he married Charlotte, the daughter of John Mure. He did not run for re-election to the assembly in 1824. In 1842, he was named registrar for Kamouraska County. Taché died in office at Kamouraska at the age of 63. Jean Taché
Jean Taché (; b. 1698 – April 18, 1768) was a Canadian merchant and trader. He made his first trip to Canada in 1727 to deal in furs and engage in other business activities. By 1730, he had become a permanent resident of the colony and was successful as a merchant and trader. He was also a militia captain in the government of Quebec. France's surrender of the colony of Quebec in 1763 curtailed his business activities. Under the new British rule, he was one of the first Canadians to be called as members of the Grand Jury for the district of Quebec. In 1768, he received a commission as a notary but died shortly after. He had at least 10 children, and his descendants contributed to French-Canadian society during the 19th century. On August 27, 1742, Taché married Marie-Anne Jolliet de Mingan, granddaughter of the explorer Louis Jolliet and Jean-Baptiste Jolliet de Mingan. Eugène-Étienne Taché, ISO (; October 25, 1836 – March 13, 1912) was a French Canadian surveyor, civil engineer, illustrator and architect. He devised Quebec's provincial coat-of-arms and motto ''Je me souviens''. As the son of cabinet minister (and future premier) Étienne-Paschal Taché, Eugène-Étienne Taché's early education was quite extensive, but also took place in various locations because of movements to the government. Thus, he studied in both the Petit Séminaire de Québec and at Upper Canada College in Toronto, Ontario. In 1856, Taché took a three-year course in surveying, and in the course of his education successively studied under Frederick Preston Rubidge, Walter Shanly, and finally Charles Baillairgé. Sir Étienne-Paschal Taché (5 September 1795 – 30 July 1865) was a Canadian medical doctor, politician, and Father of Confederation. His family had a long history in New France, but suffered serious financial reverses due to the Seven Years' War and the siege of Quebec. He was considered a self-made man, who became a physician, a militia soldier, and a politician. He served twice as Joint premiers of the Province of Canada, joint premier of the Province of Canada. Taché was a strong supporter of the Canadian Confederation, Confederation of the British North American provinces, and the maintenance of the British connection. Alexandre-Antonin Taché (; 23 July 1823 – 22 June 1894) was a Canadian Roman Catholic priest, missionary of the Oblate order, author, and the first Archbishop of Saint Boniface in Manitoba, Canada. Early life Alexandre-Antonin Taché was born in Fraserville, Lower Canada (now Rivière-du-Loup, Quebec), on 23 July 1823, to a merchant named Charles Taché, and Louise-Henriette de Labroquerie, a descendant of the famed explorers Louis Jolliet and Gaultier de Varennes. When his father died in January 1826, the widowed Louise-Henriette was forced to return to her family home in Boucherville. The young Alexandre was raised there under the care of his uncle, in a home where the arts, study, and the Catholic faith were part of the daily fabric of life.
