Table Tennis World Cup
The Table Tennis World Cup has been held annually since 1980. There had been only men's singles until the inauguration of women's singles in 1996 and team competitions in 1990. The team competitions, the Team World Cup were canceled until the relaunch in 2007, and now held in odd-numbered years. The competitions are sanctioned by International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) and classified as R1 in rating weightings, B2 in bonus weightings in the ITTF world ranking. In the years 2021-2023, the event has been suspended. A new WTT event, WTT Cup Finals, began in 2021, which is the season-ending championship of the WTT. WTT stated that the winners of the WTT Cup Finals would win the prestigious ITTF World Cup trophies in March 2021, but the winners have been actually presented with WTT Cup Finals specific trophies since the inaugural edition, and the event has been renamed to simply WTT Finals since 2023, making it a pure season-ending event. Andrzej Grubba
Andrzej Stanisław Grubba (14 May 1958 – 21 July 2005) was a Polish table tennis player. Profile Grubba was born in Brzeźno Wielkie near Starogard Gdański. He was the recipient of numerous medals for the world competition in table tennis as well as for the European competition. He was one of the best players in this field of sport in Polish history, together with Alojzy Ehrlich. Jiang Jialiang (; born March 3, 1964) is a male former international table tennis player from China. He competed at the 1988 Summer Olympics. Erik Lindh (born 24 May 1964, in Kungälv) is a former international Swedish table tennis player who competed in the 1988 Summer Olympics and in the 1992 Summer Olympics. In the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul he finished in third place and won the bronze medal. He was a member of the winning Swedish teams in the 1989, 1991 and 1993 World Table Tennis Team Championships. He also won an English Open title.
