Taastrup () is a Danish railway town or/and suburb of Copenhagen - 15 km west of the capital's city centre, and formerly the administrative seat of Høje-Taastrup Municipality, Region Hovedstaden. It takes its name from the village of Taastrup Valby, which also gave its name to the station established in 1859, from which the town grew. Taastrup Valby was originally known as solely Valby, but got its full name from its location in the parish of Høje Taastrup to avoid confusion with other villages with the same name. Høje-Taastrup Municipality
Høje-Taastrup Kommune is a municipality (Danish language, Danish, ''Municipalities of Denmark, kommune'') in Region Hovedstaden on the island of Zealand (Denmark), Zealand (''Sjælland'') in eastern Denmark. The municipality covers an area of 78 km² (30 mi²), and has a total population of 50,676 (1 October 2018). It was formed by the 1970 Danish Municipal Reform, and its 1974 adjustment, by merging the parish municipalities of Høje Taastrup, Sengeløse, the Fløng part of Hvedstrup-Fløng and the Reerslev part of Reerslev-Vindinge. Hedehusene
Hedehusene is a suburban town located on the rail line between Copenhagen and Roskilde in the Capital Region of Denmark. It has absorbed the villages of ''Baldersbrønde'' and Fløng and almost merged with Roskilde's eastern Trekroner neighbourhood to the west and Høje Taastrup to the east. To the south is the large recreational area Hedeland. As of 1 January 2022, the town had a population of 13,663. A large development project, NærHeden, created as a collaboration between Høje-Taastrup Municipality and Realdania, will expand the town to the southeast with a new sustainable neighbourhood. History The flat and fertile moraine landscape between Roskilde, Køge and Copenhagen was since the Middle Ages known as ''Hedeboegnen'' or simply Heden ("The Heath"). Jesper Grænge Lindstrøm (; born 29 February 2000), also known as Jobbe, is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt and the Denmark national team. Lene Rachel Andersen (born May 15, 1968) is a Danish author, economist, futurist, and philosopher. She was born and raised in Taastrup, a suburb west of Copenhagen, Denmark. Artillery (band)
Artillery are a Danish thrash metal band. They participated in the early development of the genre, and their highly energetic, riff-centric and often fast-paced music is similar in style to that of Voivod, Coroner, Megadeth and Sabbat from the same era. After releasing three full-length albums and touring extensively throughout the 1980s and early 1990s, Artillery disbanded in 1991, but reunited seven years later, only to disband once again in 2000. However, they reformed again in 2007 and are still together today.
