TSV Crailsheim
TSV Crailsheim is a German association football club from the town of Crailsheim, Baden-Württemberg. History Founded as the gymnastics club ''Turnverein Crailsheim'' in 1846, the association today has over 3,000 members in 20 departments, including athletics, basketball, cycling, dance sport, fistball, fencing, fitness, football, handball, jujutsu, judo, rehabilitation sport, swimming, table tennis, and tennis. Several of the teams representing the club have enjoyed success: the women's football side plays in the 2. Bundesliga, the men's basketball team in the 2. Basketball-Bundesliga Süd, and the men's footballers in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg (IV). Table tennis, also known as ping-pong and whiff-whaff, is a sport in which two or four players hit a lightweight ball, also known as the ping-pong ball, back and forth across a table using small solid rackets. In sports leagues, promotion and relegation is a process where teams are transferred between multiple divisions based on their performance for the completed season. Leagues that use promotion and relegation systems are often called open leagues. The Regionalliga () is the fourth tier in the German football league system. Until 1974, it was the second tier in Germany. In 1994, it was introduced as the third tier. FC Nöttingen is a German association football club from the Nöttingen district of Remchingen, Baden-Württemberg. The footballers are part of a sports club of more than 500 members that also has departments for table tennis and an unusual sport popular locally known as Schnürles or Fussballtennis (en:football-tennis), played with a soccer ball on a tennis court. The game was introduced to the area from Czechoslovakia in the 1920s by coach Fritz Schnürle. The Regionalliga Süd ( en, Regional League South) was the fourth tier of the German football league system from 2008 to 2012. Until the introduction of the 3. Liga in 2008, it was the third tier. It was the highest regional league for the southern part of Germany. It covered the states of Bavaria, Hesse and Baden-Württemberg and was one of three leagues at this level, together with the Regionalliga Nord and the Regionalliga West. The Verbandsliga Württemberg is a German amateur football division administered by the Württemberg Football Association, one of the 21 German state football associations. Being the top flight of the Württemberg state association, the Verbandsliga is currently a level 6 division of the German football league system. History The Verbandsliga Württemberg was introduced along with the superordinate Oberliga Baden-Württemberg in 1978 as a merger between the Amateurliga Nordwürttemberg and the Amateurliga Schwarzwald-Bodensee. Oberliga Baden-Württemberg
The Oberliga Baden-Württemberg is the highest association football league in the state of Baden-Württemberg and the Baden-Württemberg football league system. It is one of fourteen Oberligas in German football, the fifth tier of the German football league system. Until the introduction of the 3. Liga in 2008 it was the fourth tier of the league system, and until the introduction of the Regionalligas in 1994 the third tier.
