TSV Bogen
The TSV Bogen is a German association football club from the town of Bogen, Bavaria. The club's greatest success came in 2013 when it qualified for the southern division of the Bayernliga, the fifth tier of the German football league system. History TSV Bogen was formed in 1883 and, for most of its history, has been a non-descript amateur side in local Bavarian football. Formed as a gymnastics club ''TSV'' started operating a football department in 1926. For a short time, after the Second World War, the club was renamed ASV Bogen but soon reverted to its original name. The club briefly rose to the tier four 2. Amateurliga for a season in 1953–54 but was promptly relegated again. After this the club continued, for a time, to be a force in the local A-Klasse but was eventually relegated to the B-Klasse in 1961. Landesliga Bayern-Mitte (2012)
The Landesliga Bayern-Mitte ( en, State league Bavaria-Central) is currently the sixth tier of the German football league system in central and eastern Bavaria and the third tier of the Bavarian football league system. It is one of five Landesligas in Bavaria, the other four being the Landesliga Südwest, Landesliga Nordost, Landesliga Nordwest and Landesliga Südost. The league champion automatically qualifies for the Bayernliga, the runners-up needs to compete with the runners-up of the other four Landesligas and a number of Bayernliga teams for another promotion spot. The league replaced the Landesliga Bayern-Nord and the Landesliga Bayern-Mitte at this level, both formed in 1963 and disbanded in 2012. 2015–16 Bayernliga
The 2015–16 season of the Bayernliga, the second highest association football league in Bavaria, was the eighth season of the league at tier five (V) of the German football league system and the 71st season overall since establishment of the league in 1945. The league season started on 17 July 2015 and ended on 21 May 2016. It was interrupted by a winter break, which lasted from early December 2015 to late February 2016. Modus The northern and southern divisions of the Bayernliga consist of 18 clubs each. Clubs in each division will play each other in a home-and-away format with no league games played between clubs from different divisions during the regular season. Promotion And Relegation
In sports leagues, promotion and relegation is a process where teams are transferred between multiple divisions based on their performance for the completed season. Leagues that use promotion and relegation systems are often called open leagues. In a system of promotion and relegation, the best-ranked team(s) in the lower division are ''promoted'' to the higher division for the next season, and the worst-ranked team(s) in the higher division are ''relegated'' to the lower division for the next season. In some leagues, playoffs or qualifying rounds are also used to determine rankings. This process can continue through several levels of divisions, with teams being exchanged between adjacent divisions. The Landesliga Bayern sits at step 6 of the German football league system and is the third highest level in the Bavarian football league system, below the Bayernliga and organised in five regional divisions. The current Landesligas were formed in 1963, when the Bundesliga was established. From 2012, when the Regionalliga Bayern was established, the Landesligas were expanded from three to five divisions. The seven Bezirksoberligas Bayern were the third highest level of the Bavarian football league system, below the Bayernliga and the Landesliga Bayern from 1988 to 2012. They were the seventh tier of the German football league system. Until the introduction of the 3. Liga in 2008 it was the sixth tier of the league system, until the introduction of the Regionalligas in 1994 the fifth tier.
