TSR1
RTS 1 (french: RTS Un) is a Swiss public television channel owned by RTS Radio Télévision Suisse, the public broadcaster for the Romand people. History Launched on 1 May 1954 to succeed Télé Genève, RTS Un is the first channel of the two Swiss French networks of television group RTS (the other being RTS Deux). In 1968 the channel first aired programmes in colour. RTS took part in the creation of TV5 in 1984, and provides programmes for the international channel. Following the launch of TSR 2 in 1997, TSR renamed itself to TSR 1 and RTS Un in 2012. RTS Un is available in Aosta Valley, Italy, due to Italian self-government laws, and until the cessation of all digital terrestrial signals in Switzerland in 2019 could also be received in the border areas via spillover. French Language
French ( or ) is a Romance language of the Indo-European family. It descended from the Vulgar Latin of the Roman Empire, as did all Romance languages. RTS Info refers to the news platforms (radio, TV and on-line) of the Radio Télévision Suisse (French-language branch of the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation and is also the name of its virtual television channel launched on 26 December 2006. It broadcasts 24 hours a day using an Internet stream, and many times (especially in the night and the early morning) simulcasts on RTS 2 (Swiss TV channel), RTS 2. TV5Monde (), formerly known as TV5, is a French public television network, broadcasting several channels of French-language programming. It is an approved participant member of the European Broadcasting Union. The network is available across Europe on satellite via Astra 19.2°E and Eutelsat Hot Bird (13°E) (both free-to-air), online and via TVPlayer. Summary TV5 started on 2 January 1984 and was under the management of Serge Adda until his death in November 2004. The next director since 6 April 2005 was Jean-Jacques Aillagon, a former French Minister for Culture and Communication. The director-general is now Marie-Christine Saragosse.
