TJ Taylor (musician)
Timothy Lewis Taylor Jr. (born August 8, 1985) is an American musician. He is the drummer of the hard rock band SOiL. He is the former drummer of the rock band Tantric. Biography Taylor was raised on a 100-acre farm outside of Frankfort, Kentucky. His interest in the drums began at a young age, after being given a drum kit by a neighbor. Taylor spent many time playing records like Led Zeppelin's ''Coda'', Foreigner's '' 4'', Rush's '' Hemispheres'', Van Halen's '' 5150'' or Soundgarden's '' Superunknown''. Taylor, being left-handed, played open handed, on a right-handed positioned drum kit, and reversing his ride and first rack tom. In high school, Taylor (although under age) would sneak through the back door of a local bar to perform in the house band every Thursday night. Frankfort is the capital city of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, United States, and the seat of Franklin County. It is a home rule-class city; the population was 28,602 at the 2020 census. Van Halen ( ) was an American rock band formed in Pasadena, California, in 1972. ''37 Channels'' is the fifth studio album by American rock band Tantric, released on September 17, 2013 via Pavement Entertainment. Background and recording On August 8, 2013 via Pavement Entertainment, it was announced that Tantric would be releasing their fifth studio album titled ''37 Channels'' on September 17, 2013. Lead singer Hugo Ferreira remained the only sole member of the band during the album's recording. Ferreira commented on the album saying:"I didn't let people jerk off all over this record, I'm very protective of it. I used to let things go, but I literally oversaw every aspect of 37 Channels." Ferreira also explained the songwriting of the album saying:"I can't afford a therapist, so this is what I do. I regurgitate all my angst and pain and confusion and joy. Stereomud was an American nu metal band from New York City and Georgia. They were active from years 1999 to 2003 before breaking up, releasing two albums—''Perfect Self'' and ''Every Given Moment''. History Stereomud released their first album, ''Perfect Self'', on Columbia Records in 2001 and a video for the song "Pain" received airplay on MTV2. After extensive touring in support of that album, they went back into the studio, releasing ''Every Given Moment'' in April 2003. After participating in the Jägermeister Music Tour with Hed PE, Breaking Benjamin, Systematic, and Saliva, Columbia Records cut their touring support, and dropped the band. Soundgarden
Soundgarden was an American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1984 by singer and drummer Chris Cornell, lead guitarist Kim Thayil (both of whom are the only members to appear in every incarnation of the band), and bassist Hiro Yamamoto; Cornell switched to rhythm guitar in 1985, replaced on drums initially by Scott Sundquist, and later by Matt Cameron in 1986. Yamamoto left in 1990 and was replaced initially by Jason Everman and shortly thereafter by Ben Shepherd. The band dissolved in 1997 and re-formed in 2010. ''5150'' (pronounced "fifty-one-fifty") is the seventh studio album by American rock band Van Halen. It was released on March 24, 1986 by Warner Bros. Records and was the first of four albums to be recorded with lead singer Sammy Hagar, who replaced David Lee Roth. The album was named after Eddie Van Halen's home studio, 5150, in turn named after a California law enforcement term for a mentally disturbed person (a reference to Section 5150 of the California Welfare and Institutions Code).
