TFOU () is a French children's television broadcast programming block on TF1. It was launched on 1 January 2007, replacing TF! Jeunesse (French for TF! Youth). TF! Jeunesse first appeared on Monday, September 1, 1997 at 4:30 in the afternoon on TF1, replacing Club Dorothée, with the first episode of Beetleborgs. TF! Jeunesse was created by Dominique Poussier, the director of children's television for TF1. It was hoped that this new show would distance itself from its predecessor, whose shows had often been accused by parents and the Conseil supérieur de l'audiovisuel (the Superior Audiovisual Council) of being too violent. Poussier had previously created the morning program Salut les Toons! ("Hello Toons!"), which was presented by two CGI-generated mice, in 1996. ''Miss Moon'' is a French animated children's television series created by Sébastien Dorsey and Laure Doyonnax. The series debuted on TFOU TV in France on April 17, 2016. The series also aired on OUFtivi in Belgium. The English dub, along with the Hungarian, Polish, Romanian, and Russian dubs, all premiered on Boomerang in Central and Eastern Europe on October 8, 2016. ''Babar and the Adventures of Badou'' is a computer-animated children's television series that premiered in 2010 based on the characters created by Jean and Laurent de Brunhoff. The series takes place several years after the original series and has created new characters to the Babar universe, including Badou, who is Babar's 8-year-old grandson and the protagonist of the series. TF1 Group (french: Groupe TF1) is a French media holding company. Its best-known property is the broadcast network TF1. The group was formed after TF1 was privatized in April 1987. It is controlled with a 43% stake by Bouygues, and is quoted on Euronext Paris. ''Barbapapa'' is a 1970 children's picture book by the French-American couple Annette Tison and Talus Taylor, who lived in Paris, France. Barbapapa is both the title character and the name of his "species". The book was the first of a series of children's books originally written in French and later translated into over 30 languages. ''Barbe à papa'' – literally "Daddy's beard" – is French for cotton candy or candy floss. Background The inspiration for Barbapapa came by chance in the Luxembourg Garden in Paris one day in May 1970. ''Hey Arnold!'' is an American animated comedy television series created by Craig Bartlett. It originally aired on Nickelodeon from October 7, 1996, to June 8, 2004. The show centers on fourth grader Arnold Shortman, who lives with his grandparents in an inner-city tenement. Episodes center on his experiences navigating urban life while dealing with the problems he and his friends encounter.
