TEDxLagos
TEDxLagos is an independent TEDx event held annually in Lagos, Nigeria. Like other TEDx events, the event obtained a free license from TED to hold the conference, with organizers agreeing to follow certain principles. In 2018, the refreshed TEDxLagos hosted 12 speakers at the Muson Centre. History TEDxLagos was founded as an independent TEDx event by the original organizers of ''TEDxGbagada''. In 2018, TEDxLagos reviewed numerous candidates and hosted 12 speakers on August 18, 2018 at the Muson Centre, Lagos Island. The hosts for the pre-recorded event were Nigerian comedian Bovi and Award-winning media entrepreneur Uche Eze founder of '' BellaNaija'', who is also a TEDGlobal Fellow. Oluwafemi Abolade Leye, known professionally as Femi Leye, is a Nigerian guitarist, singer, songwriter, record producer, and composer. Simidele Adeagbo
Simidele Adeife Omonla Adeagbo, (born July 29, 1981 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) is a Nigerian skeleton racer who competed at the 2018 Winter Olympics. She is Nigeria and Africa’s first female skeleton athlete. She was the first black female Olympian in the sport. In 2022, she won the woman's mono bob event in the 2022 EuroCup, held in Germany. In so doing, she became the first athlete from Africa to win an international sled race. Before competing in skeleton, Adeagbo competed in triple jump, last competing in 2008. Ade Abayomi Olufeko . (born 1980), is an American-born designer, technologist, and entrepreneur primarily active in Lagos. His international work in humanities has been leveraged by Consortiums, NGOs, and high-impact leaders.
