T. N. Prathapan is an Indian National Congress politician from Thrissur who currently serves as Member of parliament from Thrissur (Lok Sabha constituency) and was a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Kodungallur Assembly Constituency to Kerala Legislative Assembly in 2011. He was previously elected to Kerala Legislative Assembly, K.L.A. in 2001 and 2006 from Nattika Assembly Constituency. He contested the 2019 Indian general election from Kerala as a candidate of Indian National Congress in Thrissur (Lok Sabha constituency), Thrissur constituency and was elected as the Member of parliament, MP. 2019 Indian General Election
General elections were held in India in seven phases from 11 April to 19 May 2019 to elect the members of the 17th Lok Sabha. Votes were counted and the result was declared on 23 May.
