T.K. Ubaid
T.K. Ubaid is an Islamic writer and editor in Malayalam language. He has authored and translated books including ''Quran Bodhanam'', a commentary to Quran. He is an editor of ''Islamic Encyclopedia project'' of Islamic publishing house, Kerala. He also contributed in translating 6 Volume Quran commentary '' Tafhim-ul-Quran'' to Malayalam language. As of July 2020, he is an editor of Prabodhanam weekly, and Malarwadi magazine. Early life Ubaid was born on 1948 at a village in Ponnani Taluk. Completed his education from Islamiya College, Santhapuram near Perinthalmanna. Career Uabaid started his career as sub editor of a kids magazine named ''Sanmargam'' from 1972 until he joined Prabodhanam in 1974. Kerala Sahitya Academy
The Kerala Sahitya Akademi or Academy for Malayalam literature is an autonomous body established to promote the Malayalam language and literature. It is situated in City of Thrissur, Kerala in India. History The academy was inaugurated on 15 October 1956, by Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma, the former king of Travancore, in Thiruvananthapuram. It was shifted to its present location at City of Thrissur in September, 1957. Islamic Publishing House is a leading publisher of Islamic literature in the state of Kerala, India. It was founded in 1945 as the official publication division of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Jama’at-e-Islami Hind, Kerala chapter. Its headquarters is in Kozhikode, Kerala. History IPH began publishing in 1945 at a small mosque at Irimbiliyam, near Valanchery, Malappuram district, Malappuram District.V. P. Muhammad Ali Haji (a.k.a. Tafhim-ul-Quran
''Tafhim-ul-Quran'' ( ur, تفہيم القرآن, lit=Towards Understanding the Qur'an, Tafheem-ul-Quran) is a 6-volume translation and commentary of the Qur'an by the Pakistani Islamist ideologue and activist Syed Abul Ala Maududi. Maududi began writing the book in 1942 and completed it in 1972. ''Tafhim'' is derived from the Arabic word '' fahm'' which means "understanding".
