Südtondern
Südtondern is an '' Amt'' ("collective municipality") in the district of Nordfriesland, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. History Its seat is in Niebüll. It was formed on 1 January 2008 from the former ''Ämter'' Bökingharde, Karrharde, Süderlügum and Wiedingharde, and the municipalities Niebüll and Leck. In addition to the main seat in Niebüll, there are offices in Leck, Risum-Lindholm and Süderlügum. Klanxbüll
Klanxbüll (Danish ''Klangsbøl'', North Frisian ''Klangsbel''''Nordfriesland-Karte'', Nordfriisk Instituut, Bräist/Bredstedt 2011, ) is a municipality on the mainland in the northwest corner of Schleswig-Holstein, in Kreis Nordfriesland, Germany. The municipality belongs to the Amt Südtondern. History The village's chronicle goes with dike construction in the region, because only as the area of Klanxbüll was endiked and drained, could houses be built. Klanxbüll is first mentioned in 1231 with an entry in the land register of the Danish king Valdemar II, since the former duchy of Schleswig (with short exceptions) belonged until 1864 to the Danish crown. At 1240 a church began to be built; that church, which is now under monument protection, is still the only surviving reed-thatched church on the mainland: image. Nordfriesland (; da, Nordfrisland; frr, Nordfraschlönj ), also known as North Frisia, is the northernmost district of Germany, part of the state of Schleswig-Holstein. Risum-Lindholm
Risum-Lindholm ( frr, Risem-Loonham) is a municipality in the district of Nordfriesland, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Geography Location Risum-Lindholm lies about five kilometres southeast of Niebüll and six kilometres west of Leck on a boundary between a low, sandy area of geest and the marshes. Ladelund
Ladelund is a municipality in the district of Nordfriesland, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. History From November 1, 1944 until December 16, 1944, a concentration camp was established near Ladelund. In the six weeks of being in production 301 people died through hard labour, starvation and infection diseases. Among the deaths were also 111 Puttenaren, men from the village Putten in the Netherlands, who got deported during the Putten raid because the action was undertaken as a reprisal for a Dutch resistance attack on a vehicle carrying personnel from the Wehrmacht.
