Søren Rasted
Søren Nystrøm Rasted (born Søren Rasted on 13 June 1969) is a Danish musician, singer, songwriter and record producer. He plays keyboards, guitar and sings backing vocals. He is a member of the Danish-Norwegian Eurodance group Aqua. Musical career Rasted was a member of the Danish pop-dance group Aqua. He and his fellow band member Claus wrote and produced the three Aqua albums ''Aquarium'', ''Aquarius'' and '' Megalomania''. Aqua was formed in 1994 and split up in 2001, but reunited in 2008. The band sold more than 28 million records worldwide, and appeared in the Guinness Book of Records as the only debut band with three "self penned" Number One hits in the UK. In 2004 Rasted released the spoken word album '' Lazyboy TV'' under the name Lazyboy. The album included the singles "Facts of Life", "Inhale Positivity" and " Underwear Goes Inside the Pants". "Inhale Positivity" is the third single from the Lazyboy musical project (known as Lazy B in the UK), released as the follow-up to the hit " Underwear Goes Inside the Pants". It features spiritual and sensual self-help advice spoken by the iconic tones of the late Patrick Allen (a renowned voice over artist and actor), set to sunny club-friendly dance music and a vocoded chorus repeating the mantra "Inhale positivity, exhale negativity". However the song did not follow up on the success of the previous single and failed to chart. Lene Grawford Nystrøm (born 2 October 1973) is a Norwegian musician and singer-songwriter who is the female lead vocalist of the Danish-Norwegian Eurodance group Aqua. Life and career 1973–1994: Early life Nystrøm was born in Tønsberg, Norway. When she was a teenager, she became interested in performing. She began modeling and also worked as a bartender. From 1990 to 1993, she appeared on the Norwegian game show ''Casino'' which aired on TVNorge. 1994–2001: Aqua and ''Aquarium'' In 1994, Nystrøm was working as a singer on the Norwegian cruise ship MS ''Peter Wessel'' and was spotted by musician René Dif. "My Mamma Said" is a song by Danish-Norwegian pop band Aqua. The song was written by members Søren Rasted and Lene Nystrøm, and produced by Rasted, for their second greatest hits album (2009). It was released as the second single from the album, following " Back to the 80's". Background and composition “My Mamma Said" deals with emotions and considerations concerning the death of the narrator’s mother. The dominant instruments are the piano and the cello. Nystrom is the principal vocalist and her part concerns fears and reflections about her mother, while Rene Dif's part pertains to philosophical and scientific aspects of the mother’s death. ''Greatest Hits'' is the second greatest hits album by Danish-Norwegian pop band Aqua. The album was released on June 15, 2009, on Universal. Although it is their second greatest hits album, it is the first one to be released internationally, with '' Cartoon Heroes: The Best of Aqua'' (2002) only being released in Japan. The compilation was not released on any physical or digital format in North America. ''Greatest Hits'' includes digitally remastered versions of sixteen songs from Aqua's two previous studio albums, ''Aquarium'' (1997) and ''Aquarius'' (2000), and three new songs: " Back to the 80s", "My Mamma Said", and "Live Fast – Die Young".
