Carsten Sänger
Carsten Sänger (born 8 November 1962) is a German former footballer. Club career In the DDR-Oberliga the defender played only for FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt. After the German reunification Sänger was under contract for a couple of East German clubs but never played in the 1. Bundesliga. He had to end his career after his lower leg had to be amputated after a car accident. Eugen Sänger
Eugen Sänger (22 September 1905 – 10 February 1964) was an Austrian aerospace engineer best known for his contributions to lifting body and ramjet technology. Early career Sänger was born in the former mining town of Preßnitz (Přísečnice), near Komotau in Bohemia, at that time part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. He studied civil engineering at the Technical Universities of Graz and Vienna. As a student, he came in contact with Hermann Oberth's book ''Die Rakete zu den Planetenräumen'' ("By Rocket into Planetary Space"), which inspired him to change from studying civil engineering to aeronautics. He also joined Germany's amateur rocket movement, the ''Verein für Raumschiffahrt'' (VfR – "Society for Space Travel") which was centered on Oberth. Maria Renata Saenger Von Mossau
Maria Renata Singer or Saenger von Mossau (1680 – June 1749) was a Bavarian nun executed for heresy, witchcraft, apostasy and satanism, one of the last people executed for these charges in Germany and Europe. Life Maria was inducted in the convent of Unterzell in the Prince-Bishopric of Würzburg in 1699, where she made herself known for her great piety and was appointed Sub Prioress in 1740. In 1746, one of the nuns, Cecilia, became afflicted with convulsions and claimed to be possessed by demons and poltergeists. The attacks spread through the convent and soon several nuns suffered from hysteric attacks. One of them died, after which Renata was pointed out as a satanist and a magician. The church then conducted an exorcism at the convent, during which the nuns rolled on the ground and "howled and snapped like mad cats." Max Saenger
Max Saenger (german: Max Sänger) (14 March 1853, Bayreuth – 12 January 1903, Prague) was a German obstetrician and gynecologist who was a native of Bayreuth. He studied medicine at the University of Leipzig, then continued with graduate studies in OB/GYN and pathology under Carl Siegmund Franz Credé (1819–1892). He later became a professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Leipzig, and in 1890 was appointed professor of OB/GYN at the German University in Prague. In 1894 he co-founded the journal ''Monatsschrift für Geburtshilfe und Gynäkologie''. In 1882 he introduced the practice of sutural closure of the uterus following Caesarean section operations. Oscar Saenger (January 5, 1868 – April 20, 1929) was a singing teacher. With the Victor Talking Machine Company he produced a complete course in vocal training in twenty lessons. Biography He was born on January 5, 1868, in Brooklyn, New York City to German-American parents. Heinrich Max Willi Sänger (; 21 May 1894 in Berlin, Germany – 27 November 1944 in Brandenburg, Germany) was a German Communist and resistance fighter against the Nazis. Life Willi Sänger, was the son of a carpenter. After school, he completed a commercial apprenticeship. His occupation was a clerk and before World War I he joined the labor movement. During the war he served as a soldier in the German Army. He became a member of the Sozialdemokratische Partei Deutschlands (SPD) in 1912 at the age of 18. Wolfram Saenger (born 1939) is a German biochemist and protein crystallographer. In his research career spanning over 30 years he has worked at the Max Planck Institute for Experimental Medicine, Harvard University (Harvard Medical School) and the Free University of Berlin, where he led the Institute for Crystallography research until his retirement in 2011. Saenger is an ancient Lunar craters, lunar impact crater that lies on the Far side (Moon), far side of the Moon, just beyond the eastern limb. It was named after Austrian rocketry scientist Eugen Sänger. To the west-northwest is the crater Erro (crater), Erro, and due north lies Moiseev (crater), Moiseev. To the northeast is Al-Khwarizmi (crater), Al-Khwarizmi. The outer rim of Saenger has been eroded and reshaped by subsequent impacts, leaving the outer wall nearly destroyed to the north and south. The satellite crater Saenger D is adjacent to the interior of the northeastern rim. To the west, Saenger V lies across the northwestern rim, while the crater pair Saenger P and Q lie across and intrude into the southwestern rim.
