Szentendre Island
Szentendre Island ( hu, Szentendrei-sziget) is an island in the Danube River between the Danube Bend and Budapest in Hungary. The island is flanked by the to the west, and the main branch of the river to the east. It is 31 km long with an area of 56 km², and forms part of the Szentendre District of Pest County. The Megyeri Bridge, carrying Budapests's M0 motorway ring road, crosses the southern tip of the island, but there is no access to the island's road network from it. The island is connected to the mainland by the that crosses the Szentendre branch. There are also a number of ferries, across both the Szentendre and main branches of the Danube. Danube Bend
The Danube Bend ( hu, Dunakanyar) is a curve of the Danube in Hungary, close to the town of Visegrád. Geology The present-day U-shaped loop is probably the result of an eruption of the volcano stretching over the whole area some 15 million years ago. The caldera of Keserűs Hill-volcano, with the associated lava dome formed a later eroded central in the north. The river follows the southern edge of this caldera. The region This region is touristically very significant. The landscape and the river attracts a lot of visitors both from the homeland and abroad. Megyeri Bridge
The Megyeri Bridge, previously known as the Northern M0 Danube bridge, is a cable-stayed bridge that spans the River Danube between Buda and Pest, respectively the west and east sides of Budapest, the capital of Hungary. It is an important section of the M0 ringroad around Budapest. The bridge cost 63billion forints ( 300M) to build and was officially opened on September 30, 2008; however, the National Transport Authority of Hungary has only issued temporary permits because of disagreement among suburban cities surrounding the bridge. M0 Motorway (Hungary)
The M0 motorway is a ringroad around Budapest, the capital of Hungary. The ring presently connects motorways M1, M7, M6, M5, M4, M3, M2, connecting currently to Highway 11. The whole length of the motorway is planned at about 108 km. About 78 km have been completed as of 2013. Sections M1-M7-M6-M5 section (South) The 29 kilometer long section between M1 and M5 is the oldest section of the M0 motorway and was built between 1988 and 1995.
