Michael Symes
Michael Symes (born 31 October 1983) is an English former professional footballer who played as a striker. He started his career as a trainee with Everton, playing in attack with future England international Wayne Rooney. He moved to Bradford City after he failed to break into the Everton side but after two injury-ravaged seasons with Bradford he moved to Shrewsbury Town, following a short loan spell. He spent three seasons with Shrewsbury, then joined Accrington Stanley in July 2009 after a loan period the previous season. His most successful campaign in terms of goals was with Accrington, which resulted in a summer move to newly promoted AFC Bournemouth in 2010. After two years there, he moved on to Leyton Orient, then Burton Albion, initially on a temporary deal, before being released in 2014. He played two matches for Southport in 2015. Bradley Thomas Symes (born 7 March 1985) is an Australian rules football midfielder who was selected by the Port Adelaide at Pick 30 of the 2003 AFL draft. AFL career Port Adelaide career (2004–2007) He made his Australian Football League (AFL) debut for Port Adelaide in Round 8, 2004. Despite solid performances for his South Australian National Football League (SANFL) club, Central District, Symes struggled to get an AFL game for Port Adelaide. His form was finally rewarded in 2006, in which he impressed greatly with his composure and skills and received a nomination for the 2006 AFL Rising Star Award for his round nine match against Essendon, and kicked his first goal in Round 13, 2006 against Melbourne after a trademark tackle on Jared Rivers that won him a free kick close to goal. Carol Symes
Carol Symes (born 1966) is an American medieval historian at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Symes founded the Education Justice Project's Theatre Initiative and directed a full-length production of William Shakespeare's ''The Tempest'' at Danville Correctional Center in 2013. She is also the executive editor of the academic journal ''The Medieval Globe''." Early life Carol Symes received her advanced education at Yale University from where she received her BA. She earned her M.Litt from the University of Oxford and her Ph.D from Harvard University. She has a Certificate in Stage Combat from the Society of British Fight Directors, which she earned while training at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Frederick Osborne George Symes was a Dominican civil servant who served as Speaker of the House of Assembly of Dominica during United Workers Party administration from 1995 to 2000. Symes was born in Roseau on 31 August 1937. He worked as accountant by profession. He worked in the treasury department of Ministry of Finance of Dominica, and acted as cabinet secretary on occasion. He retired from the public service in 1993. In 1995, Symes was approached by UWP to be nominated as Speaker of the House of Assembly of Dominica, and he did accept the nomination.
