Sylvan Grove is a city in Lincoln County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 291. History Sylvan Grove was founded in 1877, at the site where a mill had been built in 1875. The city was named for twin sylvan groves near the original town site. Denmark, Kansas
Denmark is an unincorporated community in Lincoln County, Kansas, United States. Denmark is located at . History One of the first permanent settlements in Lincoln County, it was settled about 1869 by Danish Lutherans who laid the cornerstone for a stone church in 1876. Built of the "post rock" limestone that is so abundant in the county, it was completed in 1880. A bell tower and entry were added in 1901. The village is located 3 miles north of K-18 and still has a community hall, a railroad, and a grain elevator. Denmark is part of "The Amazing 100 Miles". The Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) is the organization which oversees interscholastic competition in the U.S. state of Kansas at the high school, high-school level. It oversees both athletic and non-athletic competition, and sponsors championships in several sports and activities. History The Kansas State High School Activities Association was formed in 1937 and incorporated in 1956. As early as 1910, Kansas schools organized the statewide Debate League and Athletic Association governed by high school principals.
