Syed Ibrahim Syed Noh
Syed Ibrahim bin Syed Noh (born 18 June 1964) is a Malaysian people, Malaysian politician and activist who has served as non-executive chairman of the Malaysian Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) since April 2023 and the Dewan Rakyat, Member of Parliament (MP) for Ledang (federal constituency), Ledang since May 2018. He is a member of the People's Justice Party (Malaysia), People's Justice Party (PKR), a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition. Malay Titles
The Malay language has a complex system of styles, titles and honorifics which are used extensively in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and the southern Philippines. The Internal Security Act 1960 ( ms, Akta Keselamatan Dalam Negeri 1960, abbreviated ISA) was a preventive detention law in force in Malaysia. The legislation was enacted after the Federation of Malaya gained independence from Britain in 1957. The Coalition for Clean and Fair Elections ( ms, Gabungan Pilihanraya Bersih dan Adil) or Bersih (meaning ''clean'' in Malay) is a coalition of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) which seeks to reform the current electoral system in Malaysia to improve its democracy by ensuring free, clean and fair elections among other reforms. The idea of Bersih was initiated by five opposition parties in 2005 which later included other NGOs in this as well. The Dewan Rakyat (English: 'House of Representatives'; ) is the lower house of the bicameral Parliament, the federal legislature of Malaysia. The chamber and its powers are established by Article 44 of the Constitution of Malaysia. The Dewan Rakyat sits in the Houses of Parliament in Kuala Lumpur, along with the Dewan Negara, the upper house.
