Sydney Roosters Season 2008
The 2008 Sydney Roosters season was the 101st in the club's history. They competed in the NRL's 2008 Telstra Premiership and finished the regular season 4th out of 16. Despite losing their first finals match, the Roosters got another chance the following week but were knocked out by the New Zealand Warriors. Brad Fittler
Bradley Scott Fittler (born 5 February 1972), also known by the nickname of "Freddy", is the head coach of the New South Wales State of Origin team, a commentator and a television presenter. Fittler has previously coached the Sydney Roosters in the NRL, the NSW City side and at international level he coached Lebanon. He is a former professional player who was named among the finest rugby league footballers of the first century of rugby league in Australia. Nicknamed 'Freddy', Fittler captained both New South Wales and Australia, and in 2000 was awarded the Golden Boot. He retired as the most-capped New South Wales State of Origin player, inducted into the NSWRL Hall of Fame and third-most-capped Australian international player. David Shillington
David Shillington (born 24 June 1983 in Brisbane, Queensland) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who last played for the Gold Coast Titans in the National Rugby League. A Queensland State of Origin and Australian international representative prop forward, he previously played for the Sydney Roosters and Canberra Raiders. Riley Brown
Riley Brown (born 15 October 1984) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who last played for the Gold Coast Titans in the National Rugby League (NRL). He primarily played as a Hooker. Background Brown was born in Bundaberg, Queensland. He was raised in the town of Singleton, New South Wales where, at 17 years of age, he represented Singleton Greyhounds at first team level. Albert Hopoate (born 26 June 1985 in North Ryde) is an Australian professional rugby league/union player who is currently contracted to the Penrith Emus in the NSW Shute Shield competition. He is the younger brother of controversial former international player John Hopoate. Albert attended Eaglevale High School, where he made the Australian Schoolboys Rugby Union Team. Frank-Paul Nu'uausala (born 13 February 1987), also known by the nicknames of "Frank Paul the Wrecking Ball" or "Frank the tank", is a New Zealand former professional rugby league footballer. A New Zealand international representative forward, Nu'uausala most notably played for the Sydney Roosters with whom he won the 2013 NRL Premiership. Mitchell Pearce (born 7 April 1989) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who plays as a for the Catalans Dragons in the Super League. Danny Nutley (born 4 February 1974 in Brisbane, Queensland), also known by the nickname of "Nuts", is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1990s and 2000s. Nate Myles (born 24 June 1985) is an Australian former rugby league footballer who played in the 2000s and 2010s, he last played for the Melbourne Storm in the National Rugby League. A Queensland State of Origin and Australia national representative forward, he previously played for Canterbury-Bankstown, Sydney Roosters, Gold Coast Titans and Manly-Warringah. Shaun Kenny-Dowall (born 23 January 1988) is a New Zealand international rugby league footballer who plays as a and er for Hull Kingston Rovers in the Super League. He is the current club captain.
