London Aquatics Centre
The London Aquatics Centre is an indoor facility with two swimming pools and a diving pool in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, London. The centre, designed by architect Zaha Hadid as one of the main venues of the 2012 Summer Olympics and the 2012 Summer Paralympics, was used for the swimming, diving and synchronised swimming events. After significant modification, the centre opened to the public in March 2014. Micah Sumrall ( Lawrence, born July 20, 1990) is an American competition swimmer who specializes in the breaststroke. She was a member of the 2012 United States Olympic team, and finished sixth in the world in the 200-meter breaststroke event at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Early years Lawrence was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico, but grew up in Pflugerville, Texas and swam for Texas Gold. She attended Pflugerville High School. She was the runner-up in the 100-yard breaststroke and 200-yard individual medley at the Texas state championships. Sara Maria Evelina Nordenstam (born 28 February 1983 in Lycksele, Sweden) is a Norwegian swimmer. Nordenstam was born to Swedish parents and lived in Sweden until she was 10, before moving to Oslo. Since 2004 she has been a naturalised citizen of Norway. Nordenstam set a European record in the heats of the 200 meters breaststroke at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.
