Ã…ke Falck
Ã…ke Falck (3 April 1925 – 12 October 1974) was a Swedish film director. He directed 13 films between 1958 and 1972. His 1966 film ''The Princess (1966 film), The Princess'' was entered into the 5th Moscow International Film Festival. He married in 1949 the singer Brita Nordström (1925–2005) with whom he had a son Peter Emanuel Falck in 1952. In 1960 he remarried to the TV producer Karin Sohlman and had a daughter Carolina Falck in 1961. Ã…ke Falck was buried on 12 November 1974 at Djursholm's cemetery in the municipality of Danderyd. Ingrid Thulin
Ingrid Lilian Thulin (; 27 January 1926 â€“ 7 January 2004) was a Swedish actress and director who collaborated with filmmaker Ingmar Bergman. She was often cast as harrowing and desperate characters, and earned acclaim from both Swedish and international critics. She won the Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actress for her performance in ''Brink of Life'' (1958) and the inaugural Guldbagge Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for ''The Silence'' (1963), and was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress BAFTA for ''Cries and Whispers'' (1972). Alf Sjöberg
Sven Erik Alf Sjöberg (21 June 1903 – 17 April 1980) was a Sweden, Swedish theatre director, theatre and film director. He won the Palme d'Or, Grand Prix du Festival at the Cannes Film Festival twice: in 1946 for ''Torment (1944 film), Torment'' ( sv, Hets) (part of an eleven-way tie), and in 1951 for his film ''Miss Julie (1951 film), Miss Julie'' ( sv, Fröken Julie) (an adaptation of August Strindberg's play which tied with Vittorio De Sica's ''Miracle in Milan''). Despite his success with those films, Sjöberg was foremost a stage director, perhaps the greatest at Dramaten (alongside first Olof Molander and later Ingmar Bergman). He was a First Director of Sweden's Royal Dramatic Theatre between 1930 and 1980; he staged there many remarkable and historic productions. George Fant
George Fant (born Georg Fredrik Mikael Fant; 11 July 1916 Р21 February 1998) was a Swedish actor, director and theater manager. He appeared in 50 films between 1936 and 1995. Fant was the son of Captain Tore Fant and Stina Fant (n̩e Gustafsson). He was the older brother of Swedish actor, director, and writer Kenne Fant and first cousin of speech scientist Gunnar Fant. Edvin Adolphson
Gustav Edvin Adolphson (25 February 1893 – 31 October 1979) was a Swedish film actor and director who appeared in over 500 roles. He made his debut in 1912. He appeared with Ingrid Bergman in ''Only One Night'' (1939), and is noted for his roles in the film ''Änglar, finns dom?'' (1961), the television version of August Strindberg's ''Hemsöborna'' (1966), and as Markurell in ''Markurells i Wadköping'' (1968). He also directed the first Swedish sound film, '' Säg det i toner'' in 1929. He was actress Harriet Bosse's third husband (1927–1932) and is father of actress Kristina Adolphson (b. 1937) and songwriter/composer Olle Adolphson (1934–2004). Adolphson was born in Furingstad, Sweden (Östergötland County), and died in Solna, a suburb of Stockholm, Sweden. Torgny Anderberg
Torgny Anderberg (25 February 1919 – 6 November 2000) was a Swedish actor and film director. He appeared in more than 25 films and television shows between 1944 and 1993. Anderberg was an avid documentary filmmaker parallel to his work in fiction films. His documentary work is arguably comparable to that of the enthofiction of Jean Rouch, as his early documentaries melded documentary and fiction film strategies in their discourse. A similar rhetoric is also found in his later work. Anderberg made frequent trips to Latin America following the production of ''Anaconda'', documenting encounters with indigenous people of the jungles, something he did up to his final film Kondormannen 2003. He collaborated several times with explorer Rolf Blomberg on a series of features and short films with an ethnographic content.
