Poles in Sweden ( sv, Svenskpolacker) are citizens and residents of Sweden who emigrated from Poland. Demographics According to Statistics Sweden, as of 2016, there are a total 88,704 Poland-born immigrants living in Sweden. They include both native Poles, as well as descendants of Polish Jewish immigrants from Poland. Education In 2010, there were 4,186 students with Polish as their mother tongue who participated in the state-run Swedish for Immigrants adult language program. Of these pupils, 251 had 0–6 years of education in their home country (''Antal utbildningsår i hemlandet''), 241 had 7–9 years of education in their home country, and 3,694 had 10 years education or more in their home country. As of 2012, 5,100 pupils with Polish as their mother tongue and 5,079 Poland-born students were enrolled in the language program. The Boppers
The Boppers are a Swedish band formed in 1977 who found fame with cover versions of 1950s and 1960s songs. History The band was formed by two brothers, Michel and Peter Jezewski (then 22 and 20 years old) and Ville and Ingemar Wallén (then 19 and 22 years old respectively), as well as their friends Mats Lagerwall (then 20 years old) and Lasse Westerberg (then 18 years old). They soon got a large number of gigs. Their debut album ''Number 1'' in 1978 was originally only a minor, but went on to become one of the best-selling albums in Sweden, selling over 420,000 copies. Peter Jablonski (born 1971) is a Swedish concert pianist. Biography Peter Jablonski was born in Lyckeby, Sweden to a Swedish mother and Polish father. He studied percussion and piano at Malmö Conservatory from 1982 to 1986. He performed as a drummer at the Village Vanguard jazz club in New York at the age of nine. Alexander Cielma Miliarakis (born 30 March 2001), known professionally as Greekazo, is a Swedish rapper. Anitha Bondestam
Anitha Bondestam (born 1941) is a German-born Swedish jurist who served as the minister of communications (Transport) in the Ullsten Cabinet in the period 1978–1979. She also held several official positions. Biography Bondestam was born in Danzig, Germany in 1941. However, in a study by Hanna Bäck et. al. (2008) it is stated that she was born in Poland. Paula Bieler (born 31 March 1988) is a Swedish former politician for the Sweden Democrats party. She became a member of the party in 2009. In November 2013 Bieler became an elected member of Sweden Democrats party council.
