Sweden National Football B Team
The Sweden national football B team was a secondary football team controlled by the Swedish Football Association. Sweden B played their first game against Norway on 29 September 1929, a game which ended in a 3–1 victory. Their last game was a 1–0 win against Poland on 21 May 1997. After that game the Swedish B team became defunct. The Swedish Football Association ( sv, Svenska Fotbollförbundet, SvFF) is the governing and body of football in Sweden. It organises the football leagues – Allsvenskan for men and Damallsvenskan for women – and the men's and women's national teams. It is based in Solna and is a founding member of both FIFA and UEFA. Sweden National Under-17 Football Team
The Sweden national under-17 football team ( sv, svenska pojklandslaget i fotboll) is the football team representing Sweden in competitions for under-17-year-old players. The Swedish U17 team came into existence following the realignment of the UEFA European Under-16 Championship, which changed to be an under-17 competition in 2002. In the 2013 UEFA European Under-17 Championship, Sweden reached the semi-finals where they were knocked out on penalties by Russia. In the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup they finished in third place after beating Argentina with 4–1 in the third-place match. Valmir Berisha scored three goals in the match and thus became the top scorer of the tournament. The Sweden national under-20 football team is the football team representing Sweden in FIFA U-20 World Cup and is controlled by the Swedish Football Association. Sweden made their first and so far only FIFA U-20 World Cup appearance in 1991 and was knocked out in the group stage. The qualification to the FIFA U-20 World Cup for the European teams is the European Under-19 Championship. Therefore, the Swedish Under-20 team doesn't formally play any qualification matches. The Sweden national under-21 football team is the football team representing Sweden in competitions for under-21 year old players and is controlled by the Swedish Football Association. The Swedish U21 team came into existence, following the realignment of UEFA European Under-23 Championship, which changed to be an Under-21 competition in 1978. Sweden made their first European Under-21 Championship appearance in 1986. In 2015, Sweden became champions for the first time. Sweden Olympic Football Team
The Sweden Olympic football team (also informally known as Sweden national under-23 football team from 1992) is the football team representing Sweden in Olympics and is controlled by the Swedish Football Association. The team has been active since 1984, when the IOC restricted UEFA countries to only include players without FIFA World Cup appearances. The team qualified for the 1988 and 1992 Olympics, reaching the quarter-finals both times. In the 2016 Olympics, Sweden was eliminated in the group stage. Since 1992, the UEFA European Under-21 Championship acts as the qualification to the Olympics for the European teams. Arne Arvidsson (19 January 1929 – 30 September 2008) was a Swedish footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He also played bandy. Club career Arvidsson started his career in Långshyttans AIK and joined Djurgårdens IF in 1952. He made his debut in a game against Hälsingborgs IF the same year. With Djurgården, he won the Allsvenskan in 1954–55, 1959, 1964. In 1966, he joined IK Sirius for two seasons. In 1973, he was back in Djurgårdens IF for one Intertoto Cup match. Falun
Falun () is a city and the seat of Falun Municipality in Dalarna County, Sweden, with 37,291 inhabitants in 2010. It is also the capital of Dalarna County. Falun forms, together with Borlänge, a metropolitan area with just over 100,000 inhabitants. Falun was originally famous for its copper mine, and is today an important service and industrial city even though the mine is closed (since 1992). Faluån is a river, flowing through the city, separating it into two sides. Falu copper mine is located on one of the sides which during many centuries was one of Sweden's main business.
