Sweden has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 61 times since making its debut in 1958, missing only three contests since then (1964, 1970 and 1976). Since 1959, the Swedish entry has been chosen through an annual televised competition, known since 1967 as Melodifestivalen. At the contest, Sweden was one of the first five countries to adopt televoting. Sweden hosted the contest six times: three times in Stockholm (, , ), twice in Malmö (, ) and once in Gothenburg (). Sweden is one of the most successful competing participants at the Eurovision Song Contest, with a total of six victories, second only to 's seven wins. One More Time (band)
One More Time is a Swedish pop group, formed in 1991. Its members are Peter Grönvall, his wife Nanne Grönvall and Maria Rådsten. A fourth member, Thérèse Löf, left the group shortly after the first album was released. In 1992, they began their international career with the release of the single "Highland", which peaked at No. 1 in Belgium, No. 2 in Sweden, and the top 80 in several countries in Europe, such as the Netherlands, UK and Germany. The ''Highland'' album, on which the single was featured, went gold in South Africa. Their second self-titled album, which followed in 1994, was not as successful as the previous album. Jan Christian Johansen (born 9 January 1966) is a Swedish singer, best known for representing Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 1995. Life and career Jan Johansen represented Sweden at the 1995 Eurovision Song Contest with "Se på mig" and finished third with 100 points. The song stayed at the top of Svensktoppen for fifteen weeks, charting for thirty weeks in total. His father is the Norwegian jazz musician Egil Johansen and his mother is the Norwegian-born 50s jazz singer Ellen Böbak. Alice Babs
Hildur Alice Nilsson (26 January 1924 – 11 February 2014), known by her stage name Alice Babs, was a Swedish singer and actress. She worked in a wide number of genres – Swedish folklore, Elizabethan songs and opera.
