Swayamvara (film)
''Swayamvara'' is a 1973 Indian Kannada-language film, directed by Y. R. Swamy and produced by C. R. Basavaraju. The film stars Rajkumar, N. Bharathi, Balakrishna and Dinesh. The film has musical score by Rajan–Nagendra. The movie is based on a novel of same name by Ma. Na. Murthy. Plot Bharati, is a young socialite who learns she will not inherit the family's wealth. She doesn't want to marry, but her father's will explicitly mentions that without marriage, she will lose the family estate. Balakrishna, her lawyer and trusted adviser sees the news in the paper about Rajkumar, who is a convict about to be hanged. Bharati marries Dr. Rajkumar, just to claim her ancestral wealth. The day before the hanging, the killer reveals on his death-bed, that Rajkumar is innocent. Rajkumar is released, just as he is to be hanged. Balakrishna (Kannada Actor)
Tirumakudalu Narasipura Balakrishna (2 November 1911 – 18 July 1995), commonly known an T. N. Balakrishna or Balanna, was an Indian actor in the Kannada film industry. He was said to have a hearing problem and some say that he was totally deaf. However, he would catch the lip movements of the artists and would narrate the dialogues spontaneously. He was popular for his comic and villainous roles in films like '' kantheredu nodu'' (1961), ''Muriyada Mane'' (1964), ''Bangaarada Manushya'' (1972), ''Gandhada Gudi'' (1973) and ''Kaamana Billu'' (1983) and appeared in numerous versatile roles over a hundred films that starred Rajkumar in the lead role. Rajan–Nagendra
Rajan–Nagendra were an Indian musical duo who were prominent composers of film music in Kannada and Telugu cinema from the late 1950s to the early 1990s. Rajan, along with his brother Nagendra, created a niche for themselves for nearly four decades. The duo scored music for about 375 films, over 200 of them in Kannada and the remainder in other languages like Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Tulu, Hindi and Sinhala. They composed innumerable hits, hundreds of melodious tunes in their career spanning four decades. They also hold the record for the longest active musical pair in the industry. Raghavendra Rao
Kovelamudi Raghavendra Rao (born 23 May 1942) is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and producer known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema besides having directed a few Hindi films. He has garnered four state Nandi Awards and five Filmfare Awards South. In a film career spanning more than four decades, Rao has directed more than a hundred feature films across multiple genres such as romantic comedy, fantasy, melodrama, action thriller, biographical and romance films.
