Kaliningrad Oblast (russian: Калинингра́дская о́бласть, translit=Kaliningradskaya oblast') is the westernmost federal subject of Russia. It is a semi-exclave situated on the Baltic Sea. The classification system of inhabited localities in Russia and some other post-Soviet states has certain peculiarities compared with those in other countries. Svetlogorsk (; german: Rauschen; pl, Ruszowice; lt, Raušiai) is a coastal resort town and the administrative center of Svetlogorsky District of Kaliningrad Oblast, Russia, located on the coast of the Baltic Sea on the Sambia Peninsula, northwest of Kaliningrad.
