Sven Ušić
Sven Ušić (born 19 August 1959) is a former Croatian professional basketball player and basketball coach, coach. At a height of 2.01 m (6'7") tall, he played as a small forward. Career Ušić started his career in his native Pula, playing for KK Gradine Pula. He moved to Cibona in 1976, and initially found tough competition in the club. One night, at the beginning of his time at Cibona, Ušić was locked in the locker room by mistake before the game. Ušić started warming up for the game between the locker room's benches, and somebody soon came back for him. He entered the game and played well, shooting 12 times and hitting every time. After the game, coach Mirko Novosel jokingly told him that he would lock him up before every game. Ušić has stated that he was helped a lot by Mirko Novosel, who noticed him and brought him to Zagreb. Mirko Novosel
Mirko Novosel (born 30 June 1938) is a Croatian former professional basketball coach and player. Novosel coached some of the greatest players in former Yugoslavia and Croatia, such as Croatian Hall of Fame players Krešimir Ćosić and Dražen Petrović. He was enshrined into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, as a coach, on 7 September 2007. He was inducted into the FIBA Hall of Fame, as a coach, in 2010. Playing career Novosel played club basketball, from 1952 to 1966, with Lokomotiva Zagreb. The Florida Tech Panthers are the athletic teams that represent the Florida Institute of Technology, located in Melbourne, Florida, in intercollegiate athletics at the Division II level of National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), competing in the Sunshine State Conference. NCAA Division II
NCAA Division II (D-II) is an intermediate-level division of competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). It offers an alternative to both the larger and better-funded Division I and to the scholarship-free environment offered in Division III. Before 1973, the NCAA's smaller schools were grouped together in the College Division. In 1973, the College Division split in two when the NCAA began using numeric designations for its competitions. Velika Gorica
Velika Gorica (; meaning "Great Vineyard/Forest") is the largest and most populous city in Zagreb County, Croatia. According to the 2011 census the city itself has a population of 31,341, while the municipality has a population of 63,517 inhabitants. Velika Gorica is the centre of the historical Turopolje region. Franjo Tuđman Airport, the largest and busiest airport in Croatia, is located in the area of Velika Gorica. Name The name of the city consists of two words. Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996.
