Sven Hulterström
Sven Hulterström (born 14 May 1938) is a Swedish social democrat politician who held several political and government posts, including minister of communications (Transport) and minister of health and social affairs. In addition, he was a long-term member of the Riksdag. Biography Hulterström was born on 14 May 1938. He was a member of the Swedish Social Democratic Party. He worked at the Gothenburg City Council in the period 1971–1985 and served as the chairman of the municipal board for two terms, in the periods 1976–1979 and 1982–1985. During his term Hulterström was one of the leading figures in the regionalisation process and was instrumental in the establishment of the county of Västra Götaland. Hulterström was the minister of communications (Transport) in the period 1985–1989 and minister of health and social affairs between 1989 and 1990. Stockholm Municipality or the City of Stockholm ( sv, Stockholms kommun or ) is a municipality in Stockholm County in east central Sweden. It has the largest population of the 290 municipalities of the country, but one of the smallest areas, making it the second most densely populated. Olof Palme
Sven Olof Joachim Palme (; ; 30 January 1927 – 28 February 1986) was a Swedish politician and statesman who served as Prime Minister of Sweden from 1969 to 1976 and 1982 to 1986. Palme led the Swedish Social Democratic Party from 1969 until his assassination in 1986. A longtime protégé of Prime Minister Tage Erlander, he became Prime Minister of Sweden in 1969, heading a Privy Council Government. He left office after failing to form a government after the 1976 general election, which ended 40 years of unbroken rule by the Social Democratic Party. While Leader of the Opposition, he served as special mediator of the United Nations in the Iran–Iraq War, and was President of the Nordic Council in 1979.
