Svein Olsen Øraker
Svein Olsen Øraker (10 August 1886 in Vestre Slidre – 27 September 1963) was a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from the Market towns of Sør-Trøndelag and Nord-Trøndelag counties in 1937, and was re-elected on one occasion. He previously served as deputy representative during the terms 1922–1924, 1925–1927, 1928–1930, 1931–1933 and 1934–1936. Øraker was much involved in local politics. He served in Hammerfest city council as deputy mayor in 1916–1917 and mayor in 1918. He then held various positions in Levanger city council from 1922 to 1945, serving as deputy mayor in 1922–1924, 1928 and 1937–1939 and mayor in 1927, 1928–1930 and 1945–1947. Svein Grøndalen (born 8 February 1955) is a Norwegian former footballer. He was born in Halden, and as a youngster he lived in Halden, Drammen, Halden again, and Hunndalen. He played youth football for Kvik Halden and Raufoss, and senior football for Raufoss, Rosenborg, Moss and Ås. In total he got 77 caps for Norway, between 1973 and 1984. Grøndalen played left back or central defender, and was noted for his "physical" style of play. Many people remember him best for a brutal tackle which injured Swede Ralf Edström during a 1977 international match. He is also remembered for missing a World Cup qualification match due to a bizarre injury, while running in the forest before the game Grøndalen ran into a moose and injured himself so badly he couldn't play the next game. Svein Fjælberg (born 12 January 1959) is a Norwegian former football defender. He played 11 seasons for the Norwegian club Viking, where he won the league twice as well as two cup titles. Fjælberg was capped 33 times for Norway. After his retirement he served as the assistant coach of Viking on three occasions. Player career Club career Fjælberg was born in Sola, and started playing football for Sola FK. As a 17-year-old, Anbjørn Ekeland and Viking wanted his services, but he stayed at Sola a couple more years until he moved to Viking in 1979. Viking paid Sola 45,000 for the transfer, which was Viking's most expensive transfer at the time. Fjælberg played in every match during his first season at Viking when they won the double, and his good performances at the club made him a candidate for the national team. Svein Karl Mønnesland (born 26 October 1943) is a Norwegian Slavist. He was born in Skien. Since 1979 he teaches as a professor of Slavic languages at the University of Oslo. He is considered an expert in Serbo-Croatian (Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian), and has written numerous books and articles on Serbo-Croatian, Slavic linguistics, literature and cultural history. However, his approach to the South Slavic languages has been met with criticism. Svein Hatløy (12 May 1940 – 5 July 2015) was a Norwegian architect, professor and founder of the Bergen School of Architecture. He was born in Årdal, Rogaland. Hatløy was the principal of the Bergen School of Architecture from its foundation in 1986 until August 2007. Svein Bjerke (born 15 November 1938 in Oslo), is a religious historian and professor emeritus at the University of Oslo, where he was attached to the Department for the History of Religion for thirty years, part of the time as its head. He belonged to the first Norwegian group of anthropology students, but has since worked with archeological excavations (for example as member of The Scandinavian Joint Expedition to Sudanese Nubia in 1965-66), philological text analyses (especially in his thesis on the Egyptian mouth opening ritual) and traditional anthropological field work. Svein Sundsbø (born 3 July 1943 in Lindås) is a Norwegian businessman and politician for the Centre Party. He was the general secretary of the Centre Party from 1976 to 1984. He worked as a political advisor in the Ministry of Agriculture in 1973, during the cabinet Korvald, and in the Ministry of Transport from 1984 to 1985, during the second cabinet Willoch. From 1985 to 1986 he was the Minister of Agriculture. On the local level Sundsbø was a member of Frogn municipal council from 1975 to 1983, serving the last four years as deputy mayor.
