Svartidauði were an Icelandic black metal band from Kópavogur, Reykjavík that formed in 2002. The name 'Svarti Dauði' is Icelandic for "Black Death". They released three demos before they released their debut album ''Flesh Cathedral'' on Terratur Possessions in 2012, as well as a split EP with the Chilean black metal band 'Perdition'. ''Flesh Cathedral'' was received well by the metal press, gaining positive reviews from websites such as Metal-Fi, Lurker's Path, Metal Ireland, and LA Music Blog. Iceland Music Export writes that the band is "Already infamous for their chaotic and often violent live shows in their native Iceland..." Misþyrming () are a black metal band from Reykjavík, Iceland. The band formed in June 2013 and are currently signed to the French record label Norma Evangelium Diaboli. They released their debut studio album ''Söngvar elds og óreiðu'' on 7 February 2015 to widespread critical acclaim. The band have since toured Europe and the United States, performed at Eistnaflug, and were named an 'artist in residence' at the famous Roadburn Festival in 2016. Ván Records
Ván Records is a German record label based in Herzogenrath. It was founded in 2004 by Sven Dinninghoff, who was a member of Black Metal bands Nagelfar and Graupel in the mid-1990s. The label was founded in the environment of Wòd-Ván, an association of Black Metal fans near Aachen, which was founded by Dinninghoff and other members of Nagelfar. Under contract are mainly German and Dutch bands, but also American bands like Škan or Svartidauði from Iceland. Gone Postal was a four-piece Icelandic death metal band from Kópavogur, Iceland, founded in 2007 by Haukur Hannes and Nökkvi G. Gylfason. History Gone Postal was formed in 2007 by Haukur Hannes (guitar) and Nökkvi G. Gylfason (guitar, vocals), along with Þorbjörn Steingrímsson (vocals) and Jón P. Gunnarsson (drums). It started playing hardcore in early 2007. With the dismissal of Jón and the recruitment of Stefán A. Stefánsson (drums) and Karl B. Flosason (bass), the band focused more on death metal. Gone Postal recorded a self-produced web-based album during the summer of 2007, entitled ''In the Depths of Despair'', which never saw the light of day in the form of an actual album. Bölzer is a Swiss extreme metal duo that formed in Zürich in 2008. They have said that the meaning behind the name is "a powerful force or blow or strike that has no regard for the consequences or the repercussions. Archgoat is a Finnish black metal band formed in 1989 by twin brothers Ritual Butcherer on guitar and Lord Angelslayer on bass and vocals.
