Sutton College
Sutton College (born 2015) formerly known as Sutton College of Learning for Adults (SCOLA, 2001-2015) and Sutton College of Liberal Arts (1972-2001), is a college based in the Borough of Sutton in London, England. The college offers over 1000 part-time courses for all adults of any age. It operates out of two main centres and other community venues throughout the borough The College grew out of an earlier organization, which offered adult and young adult education classes as early as the 1900s in the borough of Sutton. As of the 1920s, it was known as the Sutton and Cheam School of Art and in the 1950s as Sutton and Cheam School of Art and Crafts. A core group of full-time and part time staff from the School of Art moved to the new Sutton College in 1972. The first Principal of Sutton College was Peter Batten. Birmingham Metropolitan College
Birmingham Metropolitan College is a further and higher education college with 10 campuses distributed within Birmingham, England. The college was created in 2009 as an amalgamation of Matthew Boulton College and Sutton Coldfield College. The main site is Matthew Boulton College based at Jennens Road in Birmingham City Centre. In addition to the existing campuses and facilities, there are proposals for the construction of a new campus in Perry Barr, although these plans are currently on hold due to funding issues. The college is a member of the Collab Group of high performing schools. The London Borough of Sutton () is a London borough in south-west London, England and forms part of Outer London. It covers an area of and is the 80th largest local authority in England by population. It borders the London Borough of Croydon to the east, the London Borough of Merton to the north and the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames to the north-west; it also borders the Surrey boroughs of Epsom and Ewell and Reigate and Banstead to the west and south respectively. Nonsuch Mansion
Nonsuch Mansion is an historic house located within Nonsuch Park in north Surrey, England near the boundary with Greater London. It is in the borough of Epsom and Ewell, adjacent to the London Borough of Sutton. It has been listed Grade II* on the National Heritage List for England since April 1954. History In medieval times it was part of the three thousand acre manor of Cuddington. The mansion was built in between 1731 and 1743 by Joseph Thompson and later bought by Samuel Farmer in 1799. He employed Jeffry Wyatville to rebuild it in a Tudor Gothic style in 1802 to 1806. Farmer was succeeded by his grandson in 1838 under whom the gardens became famous. Sutton Civic Offices is a municipal facility in St Nicholas Way, Sutton, London. It is the headquarters of Sutton London Borough Council. History The current civic offices were commissioned to replace the old municipal offices at the corner of Throwley Road and the High Street which had been designed in the Baroque style and completed in 1902. Wallington Town Hall
Wallington Town Hall is a municipal building in Woodcote Road, Wallington, London. It is a Grade II listed building. History In the early 20th century Beddington and Wallington Urban District Council was based at 37 Manor Road, the former offices of Wallington Parish Council. After rapid population growth in the area, civic leaders decided to procure a purpose-built town hall: the site chosen for the new building was "Sunny Bank", a house on Woodcote Road, Wallington, which was bought in 1929. The foundation stone for the new building was laid by Mr W. J. Mallinson DL on 12 May 1934.
