Sutjeska (river)
The Sutjeska ( sr-cyrl, Сутјеска, ; lit. " gorge or canyon") is a 35 km-long river in eastern Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is a tributary of the Drina river, which it meets south of Foča. Geography The Sutjeska River could be considered main river basin largely located within Sutjeska National Park itself. The Sutjeska divides Zelengora Mountain from Maglić, Volujak and Bioč mountains, and has carved impressive canyon deep, and Tjentište valley through the middle of the park. Sutjeska National Park
The Sutjeska National Park ( sh-Cyrl-Latn, Национални парк Сутјеска, Nacionalni park Sutjeska, ) is a national park located in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Established in 1962, it is Bosnia and Herzegovina's oldest national park. It includes the highest peak of Maglić at over , on the border with Montenegro. The Montenegrin part of Maglić massif in the park has also formed the Trnovačko Jezero (Trnovačko Lake). The Strict Nature Reserve "Perućica", one of the last two remaining primeval forests in Europe, is part of the park. The park is also famous as being the location of the Battle of the Sutjeska in 1943 during World War II. It is an affiliated member of EUROPARC Federation. Kraljeva Sutjeska (sometimes Kraljevska Sutjeska, or just Sutjeska or Sutiska, historically Trstionica (river), Trstivnica, in local tradition ''Naše stolno misto'') is a village in the Municipalities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, municipality of Kakanj, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Fudbalski klub Sutjeska (Serbian Cyrillic: Фудбалски клуб Сутјеска) is football club from Nikšić, Montenegro, currently competing in the Montenegrin First League. KK Sutjeska Nikšić
KK Sutjeska is a men's professional basketball club based in Nikšić, Montenegro. The team currently competes in Montenegrin Basketball League and regional ABA League. The club won the Montenegrin Cup in 2014. History KK Sutjeska was established in 1948. The first basic basketball elements given to the youth of Nikšić were brought by Vojislav Spasojević, a basketball coach from Belgrade. Immediately after the initiative was taken, Vule Vukalović joined the team's administrative team along with the help of international referee Dragan Jakšić—and a serious basketball team began to take form. The first competition in which KK Sutjeska participated in was in 1950, in a Montenegro-wide championship held in Cetinje, where Sutjeska beat Jedinstvo 24–20. Rukometni klub Sutjeska is a Montenegrin handball club from Nikšić. RK Sutjeska is former Cup winner of Montenegro. History RK Sutjeska was formed at 1949, and during the decades played in the Montenegrin Republic League, and in the Second Yugoslav League. Biggest successes, Sutjeska made after the Montenegrin independence, when they became a members of the First League. At their first season in that competition (2006/07), Sutjeska won the third place, with first placement to the European cups. A year later, Sutjeska made their historical result – winning the Cup of Montenegro in Danilovgrad. Until 2014, together with Lovćen Cetinje, Sutjeska was the only club which competed in every season of the Montenegrin First League. Sutjeska ( sr-cyr, Сутјеска) is an urban neighborhood of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. It is located in Belgrade's municipality of Zemun. Location Sutjeska is located west of the old core of Zemun. It is bordered by the neighborhoods of Sava Kovačević on the west (bounded by the ''Šilerova'' street), Gornji Grad on the north (''Ugrinovačka'' street), Novi Grad's sub-neighborhood of Vojni Put I on the south-west (''Pazovački put''), while ''Prvomajska'' street marks the southern border of the neighborhood. Case Black (german: Fall Schwarz), also known as the Fifth Enemy Offensive ( sh-Latn, Peta neprijateljska ofanziva) in Yugoslav historiography and often identified with its final phase, the Battle of the Sutjeska ( sh-Latn, Bitka na Sutjesci ) was a joint attack by the Axis taking place from 15 May to 16 June 1943, which aimed to destroy the main Yugoslav Partisan force, near the Sutjeska river in south-eastern Bosnia. The failure of the offensive marked a turning point for Yugoslavia during World War II. It was also the last major German-Italian joint operation against the partisans.
