Sutera
Sutera is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Caltanissetta in the Italian region Sicily, located about southeast of Palermo and about west of Caltanissetta. The area is dominated by a large monolithic rock termed "The Mountain of San Paolino". Upon this mountain sits the bones of the patron saints of the town, St. Paolino and St. Onofrio. On the Feast of San Onofrio, almost all those in the town walk to the top of the mountain, as a pilgrimage to the saints. As a surname, Sutera has variations that include Souter, Suter, Sudder, and Sutar due to Anglo-Saxon influence during the conquest of Italy. The name refers to both the Rock of Sicily, and a High-German/Middle-Latin word for a cobble or shoe maker Sutera holds the award of "bandiere arancionfrom the touring club Italiano. Giuseppe Sorge
Giuseppe Sorge (1857–1937) was an Italian historian, prefect and director of the public security. He was born in Sutera, Sicily. Biography He came from a rich and distinguished family of Mussomeli. Son of Carmelo Sorce (1820–1896), administrator of the goods of Lanza Branciforte of Trabia, and of Maria Crocifissa Nola. In 1884 he married Maria Carolina Crima (1862–1917), nephew of Paolo Paternostro, Red Cross nurse who died during the First World War to fatal disease he contracted in the hospital in Brescia where he lavished. He graduated in law at the College of San Rocco, Palermo. Admitted in service on May 12, 1880, in 1887 he was appointed ''Regio delegato straordinario'' of Bronte, during the epidemic of cholera. In 1892 appointed as ''regio delegato'' of Acireale and shortly after, he was appointed as ''sub-prefect'' of Termini Imerese (1893–94) and in that period, he was involved in the bloody repression of the Fasci Siciliani. Broxbourne (borough)
The Borough of Broxbourne is a local government district and borough in Hertfordshire, England. Its council is based in Cheshunt, other towns include Broxbourne, Hoddesdon and Waltham Cross. The eastern boundary of the district is the River Lea. The borough covers in south east Hertfordshire having a population of about 96,000. The borough was formed on 1 April 1974 by the merger of Cheshunt and Hoddesdon urban districts. In Broxbourne borough, the Metropolitan Green Belt protects the surrounding countryside. Acquaviva Platani ( Sicilian: ''Acquaviva Plàtani'') is a hill town and ''comune'' in the province of Caltanissetta. The name of the town (meaning "Living Water" in Italian) is derived from the numerous natural springs in the area.
