Susanne Fuhr
Susanne Fuhr (born 13 June 1953) is a Norwegian jazz vocalist, cabaret artist and actor, known from her own S.F. Band in the 1970s. Biography Fuhr was born in Oslo. The first edition of her Band comprised guitarist Bent Patey, pianist Rune Klakegg, bassist Åge Røthe and drummer Bjørn Jenssen, but the breakthrough was with the next edition which consisted of keyboarder Brynjulf Blix, saxophonist Arne Frang, bassist and guitarist Sveinung Hovensjø and drummer Svein Christiansen at the 1979 Moldejazz. She also had a S.F. Quartet with pianist Dag Arnesen, bassist Bjørn Kjellemyr and drummer Svein Christiansen performing at the 1982 Nattjazz in Bergen. She was also part of musical plays like ''Dans Med Oss Gud'', and with Ove Thue, Sigvart Dagsland, Gudny Aspaas among others, she released the album ''Dans Med Oss Gud'' (1982), with lyrics by Erik Hillestad. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. The municipality of Oslo had a population of in 2022, while the city's greater urban area had a population of in 2019, and the metropolitan area had an estimated population of in 2021. Erik Hillestad
Erik Hillestad (born 12 December 1951) is a Norwegian record producer and lyricist. He is founder and manager of the company and record label Kirkelig Kulturverksted. He has received several awards for his works, including a 1992 Fritt Ord Honorary Award. Personal life Hillestad was born in Oslo, a son of priest Olaf Ludvig Zwilgmeyer Hillestad and Sigrid Engeset. He married Marianne Lystrup in 1971, and is a brother-in-law of Geirr Lystrup. Career Hillestad established in 1974 the record company Kirkelig Kulturverksted, for which he has produced a large part of the releases. Internationally he has worked with music collaborations focusing on human rights and solidarity. In Ecuador (from 1990), Palestine (from 1992), South Africa (1994), Azerbaijan (1997), Iran (from 2007), Turkey (from 2012), Lebanon and Egypt (from 2013). Per Mathisen (born 7 October 1969) is a Norwegian jazz bassist and composer who has worked with Terri Lyne Carrington, Geri Allen, Gary Thomas, Bill Bruford, Alex Acuña, Gary Husband, Ralph Peterson, Nguyen Le and Terje Rypdal. He is married to pianist Olga Konkova and is the brother of Hans Mathisen, Nils Mathisen, and Ole Mathisen. Olga Konkova
Olga Konkova (born 25 August 1969) is a Norwegian–Russian jazz pianist known from several recordings and collaboration with jazz musicians such as Adam Nussbaum, Gary Husband and Karin Krog. Career Konkova was educated as classical pianist in Moscow, and later as jazz pianist at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where she met her husband, the bassist Per Mathisen. After moving with him to Oslo in 1994, she collaborated with Inge Stangvik Quartet and the "Storeslem Big Band". In her own Olga Konkova Trio she collaborates with her husband on bass and various drummers (Adam Nussbaum/ Stein Inge Brækhus/Gary Husband). Melodi Grand Prix (), commonly known as Grand Prix and MGP, sometimes as Norwegian Melodi Grand Prix ( no, Norsk Melodi Grand Prix), is an annual music competition organised by Norwegian public broadcaster Norsk Rikskringkasting (NRK). It determines the country's representative for the Eurovision Song Contest, and has been staged almost every year since 1960.
