Susan Fereday
Susan Fereday (born 1959) is an Australian artist, writer, curator and educator. She holds a doctorate from Monash University, Melbourne. She was born in Adelaide, South Australia. Biography Fereday studied to be a photographic technician in Adelaide. She attended Prahran College in Melbourne to study photographic art, obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in 1986 and her Master of Arts (Fine Art) in 1992. She performed research Paris in 1996–1997 on a scholarship from Samstag. She received her doctorate from Monash University in 2010. Fereday has been a lecturer in art theory and studio practice at the Victorian College of the Arts (1990–93), Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (1998-2000), and Monash University (2005–08). Monash University

Polixeni Papapetrou
Polixeni Papapetrou (21 November 1960 – 11 April 2018) was an Australian photographer noted for her themed photo series about people's identities. Photo series she has made include Elvis Presley fans, Marilyn Monroe impersonators, drag queens, wrestlers and bodybuilders and the recreation of photographs by Lewis Carroll, using her daughter as a model. Early life and career Papapetrou was born in 1960 into a Greek immigrant family in Melbourne. She attended the University of Melbourne, graduating with a degree in Arts and Law in 1984. In 1997 she graduated with a Master of Arts degree from RMIT University and with a PhD from Monash University in 2007. She worked as a lawyer between 1985 and 2001. Jacky Redgate (born 1955) is an Australian-based artist who works as a sculptor, an installation artist, and photographer. Artists Space Gallery
Artists Space Gallery was an Australian art gallery showing mainly photography, as well as other media, through the 1980s in Melbourne. Foundation The gallery was founded in 1978 by Melbourne painter and photographer Wes Placek. He was joined in the early 80's by his partner Sophie Nowicka a textile designer and artist, who assisted in administration of the gallery and in curatorial selection of exhibitions. Location When it opened, the gallery occupied the top floor of a 1920s shopfront in the main street at 127 Buckley St., near the railway station in the working-class suburb Essendon. Joseph Stanislaus Ostoja-Kotkowski AM, FRSA (also known as J.S Ostoja-Kotkowski, Ostoja and Stan Ostoja-Kotkowski; 28 December 19222 April 1994) was best known for his ground-breaking work in chromasonics, laser kinetics and 'sound and image' productions. Grant Mudford
Grant Mudford (born 1944 in Sydney), is an Australian photographer. Life and work From 1963 to 1964 he studied architecture at the University of New South Wales, Sydney. From 1965 to 1974, he established a commercial photography studio in Sydney and worked widely in advertising, fashion, magazine editorial and theatre. He also worked on numerous short films as a cinematographer. Melinda Harper
Melinda Harper (born 1965) is an Australian abstract artist. She works with a variety of media including drawing, collage, photography, screen printing, painted objects and embroideries. Her work is characterised by the use of colours, stripes and geometrical designs. Early life and career Harper was born in Darwin, Northern Territory in 1965. She says a visit to the National Gallery of Australia, in particular to its American Abstract Expressionist collection, was instrumental in her decision to become an artist. George Gittoes
George Noel Gittoes, (born 7 December 1949) is an Australian artist, film producer, director and writer. In 1970, he was a founder of the Yellow House Artist Collective in Sydney. After the Yellow House finished, he established himself in Bundeena and since then has produced a large and varied output of drawings, paintings, films, and writings. Gittoes’ work has consistently expressed his social, political and humanitarian concern at the effects of injustice and conflict. Until the mid-1980s, this work was chiefly done in Australia. Joyce Olga Evans , B.A., Dip. Soc. Stud. (21 December 1929 – 20 April 2019) was an Australian photographer active as an amateur from the 1950s and professional photographic artist from the 1980s, director of the Church Street Photography Centre in Melbourne (1976–1982), art curator and collector, and tertiary photography lecturer.
